TRD sticker- Red or Grey

Why do some TRD sport editions have red lining around the Trd sticker while others have grey? I tried to narrow it down if it is the year/generation/color of the truck etc. but I reached no conclusions. I ran into a guy with my exact same truck yesterday (2015 also) and his truck had a red outline around "TRD sport" while mine has a grey one? Just curious if someone out there knows why Toyota did this.

 

I was going to guess color of the truck so the sticker shows, but i guess not

 

I believe it was due to the color of the truck.
My white TRD OR has a black and red sticker while the MGM trucks have a silver and gray one.

 

truck was the same year and color. Maybe the other guy put them on himself?

 

My neighbor also has 2015 magnetic grey metallic. The only difference between our trucks is that he has a red sticker and a short box, and I have seen MGM short boxes with a grey sticker also.
