Thanks, yeah it seems like the V6 numbers are all over the place...kinda gave up reading the mileage threads on those. That and everyone's driving style is wildly different. For the V6, I basically would like to know, what is the HWY mileage if the cruise is set at 65, on stock tires.

I just don't know if the 2.7 will have enough oomph for yanking around a couple dirt bikes (trailer) and camping gear on the weekends...my 3.4 is "ok" at best.

I saw one on the lot in Anchorage back in October. Searched back to confirm I was remembering correctly, they do exist. Towards the end of this post: Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving

I towed a 6x10 enclosed V nose Haulmark trailer with a motorcycle and all my gear (approaching 3000lbs) from boston to miami and back with my '08 2wd taco and she did great. Had the cruise on most of time?

It will. I tow my 6x10 enclosed trailer at up to about 3200 pounds no problem, and my flatbed with Ranger 6x6 side by side with no major issues. There's a thread I'll go look for it.

EDIT: Found it:Pics of what you tow with you 2.7

Thanks fellas. That may work. I test drove the V6...looks like I need to drive the 4. Probably be fine for 98% of the stuff I do.

Most likely won't have to tow over 2200 lbs.

I think I'm getting around 20-22mpg... I say that because the past week or so I've had to run my car for 10-20mins each morning to let it warm up. Today was the first day in a while that the temperature has been above freezing

I hope these photos are helpful RE: difference in painted body vs. unpainted bumpers. Thanks mother nature for the natural road salt removal

I think the utility package SR's would look really good if they had the black over fender flares from the TRD off road trucks. I wonder how hard it would be to install them.

I was thinking the same thing, I've been searching for Toyota part numbers for the flares, but I cannot find them

The black bumpers on the black truck look perfectly fine IMHO. I've got an SR Utility package in white on order due to be be built Feb 6. I've seen pictures and I have to admit the black bumpers look dorky but ya know what? I like white vehicles for the heat reflection and I'm thrilled to save $1700 AND not have to remove seats.

I thought I was the only one who wanted one of these.

Around me (mid-Atlantic) they seem to have some but they last all of about a couple days before they sell.

I was going to order, but I found a black one (the other colors look odd to me with the black bumpers) 45 miles away and drove down and bought it within 2 hours of it being listed.

Got a good deal in my view. I am happy with it and for all it offers the price is amazing. I don't have a family (or friends) to need back seats and I like the better rear vision and storage. Ordered cruise and intermittent wiper parts.

I ordered this package, SR/AC/4X4/MT/Utility Package, as well, on Dec. 21st. Mine will be the dark gray and I'm told it will be at the port on about 3/20. It's coming through with cruise as well. That may be added at the SE port, I'm not sure. It is coming out of the Texas plant. Long wait and, like most others waiting here, I'm ready for it to be over. I'm thinking, like the black paint, the dark gray will look okay with the big black front bumper.

Does the utility package include remote keyless entry? If not, has anyone installed one?

It does not include keyless entry. I rather prefer it that way. The power locks allow you to lock it and close the door and no batteries in the remotes to worry about.

$800 off MSRP (MSRP was $24,219). Had carpet floor mats ($209 add on, $60 of that in profit for dealer), but no other options. $23,419 plus tax and tags. And it was in stock and the color (black) I wanted. Paid cash no trade (trades and financing are additional profit for the dealer so you might be able to get a better price if you finance). On an order best I could find reasonably local was $750 off MSRP plus I would have to wait. If you are in the northeast/mid-atlantic there are a number in stock (especially in white), but you have to move quick as they sell very fast.

I certainly don't think I got the absolute best deal, but I did not get the worst either so I am happy.

I recently got a temporary VIN for my order and it listed the invoice as 23,541.53 and the MSRP as 24,060 for the set-up you are considering, MQQSE. I did my trade thru my credit union buying program, basically paid MSRP, no extra fees beyond taxes and reg/title, and did better on my trade than the dealers would allow. The previous post's pricing sounds good on a cash deal. I was told that there were none available in the SE region, so I had to order. I was surprised that they let me add the cruise to the order since it supposedly isn't offered with the utility package. I suspect that it may be added once the truck arrives in the SE port.
