I am looking to lift my truck I know I am about to hear the why do you want to lift it 6 inches and all of that, but I want to stay with a 16 inch wheel. the guy at the shop told me I had to do an 18, does anybody we know since I have 16's on now why I cant keep a 16 inch wheel.does it have to do with the knuckle being longer or what.If this had already been asked on the lifted 16's thread I cant find it I looked through 50 pages of it and cant find it.

I think the guy at the shop is a doosh, plenty of people with 16's and 17's lifted to hearts content. What shop ? He probably sells a lot 18's, and has a lot in stock to sell you

The drop bracket kits add additional hardware that requires more wheel clearance.

Show me a drop bracket lift kit (as opposed to a simple coilover or spacer lift) that's still running 16" wheels.
