This past Tuesday was another successful collaboration between TOYWERX/Black Pipe Fab.

Going to pull it this week and get it powder coated.

Skids & new cam bolts + alignment & I'm ready for the SC meet in March

 

How do you like the trail grapplers? How do they do on road as well as off road? I'm looking at making the switch to 34s and the two options I'm looking at are the trail grappler and the open country mt.

Thanks for any info/advice.

 

The trails are great off road & surprisingly quiet on road. They aren't cheap tho.
I had 295 terras prior to these and the grip is way stronger.
These are my second set of the trails.
Eventually I'll make the jump to 37's and will try the cooper STT but I've got a bit more to do before then.

 

Nice. Yeah for the 34s they are around 310 each, but the toyos are around 360 or more each and weigh about 14 lbs more. Not sure I want 74lbs on each corner just for tires. Nor pay 2k for a set of 5.

Currently running maxxis bighorns in skinny 33's and love them offroad, then have a set of cooper st maxx in skinny 33's for my daily drivers. I will keep them when I switch my mt set to 34s.

I put some 285/75r17 trail graps on my junk last week. Really happy I made the jump, fit a lot easier than 305's or 315's. Gears are supposed to go in this week to bring back some power though.

 

Same exact tires I am going for! Nice to know.

 

They ride a lot better than the BFG A/T bricks I replaced. I chopped as much as I could off the cab mount in case I want 35's in a few years.

 

Yeah... I still haven't even started a cab mount chop. Need to look in to that.

Yeah, I'm kinda putting him to work on a bunch of other stuff. I already feel kind of bad having him do as much as he does for me.

I seriously need to set monies aside to get a welder.
