A buddy gave me a welder while I was home for xmas. Been playing with it this weekend. Just been running flux core since i dont have a bottle of 75-25 yet. Been fun to glue some metal!!! Took a bit to figure out voltage and wire speed but for a 115v flux core i'm stoked with the welds it's laying, errr that i'm laying lol

Barely. Sometimes its better to be lucky instead of good.

And I figure they have the best chance of beating the Cardinals. There is still a chance for a rematch.

Yea they eeked that one out by one! I dont have cable, but i should be able to stream the rest of the games like i did today

Well i got it all welded in today. Got a nice roller now till i can get brakes, fuel, tranny, radiator all plumbed in up front.

 

You doing rear wheel steering? Noticed the rack back there. Didn't you have a "T" in front of the URD sticker the last race?

 

Looks good Marc I've never used flux core before but i've heard it can be a major bitch.

 

I really want a welder and a safe, secure place to mess with it. I think I would really enjoy it. Something about creating/building things is extremely relaxing.

 

My dad snagged one from work a long time ago, i've yet to even play with the thing. I got spoiled at EMIT getting to play with $10k+ Lincolns. But i did learn a lot and i really enjoyed it.

 

Rear steering will be locked. Crab steering at high speed is a terrible idea.

 

Thanks man, its just messy and makes a lot of smoke. But its nice that it can be windy and still run flux core. If you're ever in lander your welcome to knock yourself out haha. It's fun. Gonna build a cart for it soon.

Long shot, but give me a shout if any of you Laramie folks want to help me out with my engine maintenance or just swing by to BS. I am finishing up buying the little tid bits and then the truck is going to be parked in the garage till it is running again. I have printed most of everything I need from a haynes manual, plus some DIY articles from the web. I am going to be slowly working on it with a buddy while sipping on some beer.

 

I know, that's why I was asking lol.
