Which tool box looks the best with the MGM color? Black or Chrome?

Well, IMO the black. The last thing you want to do is draw attention to a freaking tool box.

 

Hey everyone, just wanted to post a pic of my new DCLB. I just installed the TRD Pro wheels and 255-75-17 firestone destination ATs. Getting ready to order some lift parts, aiming for 1.5" in the front and 1" in the back.

I drove by the Brentwood location this evening at 5ish and saw a MGM LB that I turned around drove back thru the parking lot and starred at it. I want so bad. I got out and asked the clerk if it was an employees due to where it was parked. I wanted to ask the owner how they liked it....they couldn't/wouldn't tell me.

Picked up a new MGM 4x4 Doublecab Limited last week. Added OEM mudflaps, Salex organizer, and NRA sticker. Ordered a Leer Trilogy trifold tonneau cover but waiting for it to ship. Trying to track down good door sill protectors and wondering whether to mess with improving the headlights.

Trying to decide whether to put nerf bars, floorboards, or nothing. I had nerf bars on my 2001 SR5 4x4 Doublecab but have mixed feelings about them. They fill out that area nicely but were a PIA when it rained as they'd just get water on my pants leg when entering or exiting.

 

Is that the predator step?

 

Also looks good with Black TRD and Grey TRD wheels

 

Has Toyota come out with an 18' TRD wheel yet? So far I have yet to see someone post anything on that.

 

How did this go for you? Curious about doing the same.

lmao you probably saw me!!! i work in carson off delamo and dominguez so im always in the area cruzing around..... theres a 16 trd or in Sand just up the street from my work too.

ive dipped the wheels, added predator steps, dipped the grill, and added a tow hook on the back to protect the bumper in-case some one rear ends me

 

Took my new taco out to ocotillo wells to test out the rear diff locker and crawl control... Couldn't be happier!

 

What brand tool box do you have?

 

What did you use to black out grill?

 

@NutFlush Did you have to modify the 05-15 Running boards to fit the 16 or did they just bolt right on without issue?

They give a similar look to the 2016 aluminum boards but are half the cost. Just worried about the hassle with fit.
