Trying to change my UCAs and didn't realize what a pain they are working on the bolts. Any suggestions on getting them out? Tried bending the fender with channel locks but still not enough room to back out the bolt.
Just called the dealership and they want $40 for two new bolts. Don't want to cut out the old ones if I don't have to.
    Any help guys?

Its much easier if you had a second hand to pry the bolt away from the fender while you hammer them out. From my experience, with one person, you kind of need to bend the fenders even more to get the clearance. People have cut the bolts before; easier if you don't mind buying new bolts (cheaper online than the stealership).

When reinstalling, some have put them in backwards to avoid this hassle in the future. @ponethousand, put his in backwards and the nut came loose and the bolt almost backed all the way out. Reinstalling them the factory way will keep the bolt from sliding out if the nut comes loose and falls off.

If you need some help, I'm working here in Little Creek and can swing by to give you a hand this afternoon.

Thanks for the offer with help. I'm going to see if I can get bigger jawed channel locks at home depot first. What time you get off from work? Call me if you want. 201-1361

Ill give you a call before I head out. Probably going to leave early today; around 1430ish. If you have the battery out and the wire brackets (IIRC) cleared out of the way, all I need is a small pry bar/long screw driver and we can get the bolts out in less than 10min.

Yep, ended up going to Home Depot and buying some larger Channel Locks and got them out FINALLY. Got to give props to Chris (StAndrew) for stopping buy and giving me the extra hand in getting that passenger side out. Thanks a lot buddy.
Will hopefully finish up tomorrow in buttoning everything up and adjusting the coil-overs to another inch. Then find a place to get an alignment. :)

I live in Newport News and I am looking for a shop that will install a lift kit on my truck. Can you recommend anyone in the Hampton Roads area? Thanks

Which lift kit? There are a ton of guys in this group with experience installing lifts. No need to pay a shop to do this. We can help you.

I was looking at the Toytec Ultimate Lift Kit (ULTAC-2005) with Bilstein 5100's, add a leafs, and a diff drop kit. I would be replacing my stock wheels with some TRD rims and bigger tires. I have a 2012 TRD Sport DCLB. Anyone want to help me out?

I live in the Newport News side of Kiln Creek. I don't have the parts yet but can probably have them in the next few weeks. I am not a mechanic and do not have the tools. Do you? I am retired military and can use Langley's shop if we need a lift, etc.

Just need basic hand tools, jack stands and a jack. I suggest skipping the AAL and getting a leaf pack. It'll save some rework for sure, the stock leaf packs are trash.
