Made my truck my bitch last night and today. Did the CV axles and front right wheel bearing. Did the passenger side first, figured out where I could cut corners for the driver's since it was just the CV replacement.

I tore the whole passenger side apart, went pretty easy. Drivers side, I got away with taking the axle nut off, separating the spindle and lower BJ, and the CV came right out with some persuasion. Minimal loss of diff fluid, I needed to add about a cup back in. I should have done the bootslide mod while they were off the truck, I just picked the crimp tool up from a buddy so I'll see how much of a pita it is to do with the cv's installed.

Also got my offset fairlead installed with the rope.

Picked up a set of muth signal/heated mirrors from @10Key so I'll be putting those in, in the coming weeks. I'll need to either change my lower console to a switch bank console from a newer truck or pickup a momentary switch for left of steering wheel.

Yup. I had my gf come out and stand on the brakes a few times. Other than that, between last night (6hrs) and today (4hrs) it went pretty smooth. I definitely took my time, between stoking the fire last night, beer breaks, and seahawks breaks this morning, so it could be done much faster than the times I posted. I also rotated my tires in there also. All in my driveway.

You look a little away from all the action. The last time I was up there was for TELUS, and we stayed at the sundial. Both gondolas right outside the lobby door. Helluva time. About 13 yrs ago there used to be a hostel I stayed at called the shoestring lodge, and on friday/saturday nights the bar attached to it would turn into a strip bar! Ahhh I wish I could go again. Ahhh to be young with no debt or responsibility again.

I always stay at the sundial! Best hotel except that it doesn't have a pool.. Just a small roof top hot tub

Yeah, the last few years, we stayed at the Pan Pacific right by the gondola, but this was a short notice trip and they were booked. cascade lodge is just across the street from the village at the Buffalo Bills end, so not big deal to walk. Was supposed to be a quick cheap weekend trip, but Kris needed new boots, and we like to eat, so about $ 3K later........but was a really nice time. Did the sea to sky gondola at Squamish, and snow shoe'ed for about 3 hours, then a total bluebird day on Sat. Skied 14.1 miles! Surprisingly, while there were crowds in some places, longest lift line we hit was about 5 min! Whould be fun to do a meet there and rent a house!

Also, for a hit it and quit it, check out "O" hostel. It's about 5 mi from whistler, where the Olympic skiier lodging was, but $30 nite and really nice for a hostel. I use it for storm chasing sometimes.

That was one thing I hated. If I needed to replace or buy something there, it gets expensive reeeaal quick. I'd be down for a condo/house share once I get my passport renewed. It's a pain when your country of citizenship is 3000+miles away.

PULEEZE! Very expensive, and really not worth it, but fun! Took a Kris, my sister, my son and his lady. Bout $300. Next time, I'll get $300 worth of Vodka and sit on the ski slope and drink it!

I think its $50 canadian per person, at least when I was there over the summer. Its worth it to do it once IMO! Those jackets are $1000 a piece..
