I posted that at the snap of the ball for the kick.. Makes up for the terrible PI call. The offensive player initiated the contact, should have been on him. Terrible call.

 

If I was being interviewed as a seahawk.... I'd be like we sucked. We were down 0 to 9, got one touch down and field goal and we only won cuz they messed up on a kick. We weren't anything special today. Lol

As a defender, you can't stop in the receiver's way beyond 5 yards past the LOS while he's running his route and let him run into you. It's PI every time, and that's what Chencellor did.

 

Oh well. Sucks to lose but the Vikes already surpassed everybody's expectations for the season when they won the North. Zimmer has entirely turned this team around in the past two years and with a couple solid draft choices or trades the Vikes will be ready to make a deep run.

 

I agree that Chancellor stepped into the TEs route and impeded him. Definitely PI, correct call. That being said, when a receiver makes contact and runs into the defender, that is not defensive PI.

 

What I mean is they rush these kids in college right into primetime before they are ready.I think they need to slow down a bit.Not everyone comes in like Russell Wilson and takes over the starting job.

Big thing is that most college offensive schemes are almost entirely different than most pro schemes. So yeah theres lots of QB's that look decent in college but don't have the experience running an NFL style team that would make them successful at the pro level.

Yes I understand but colleges are not interested in QB development, they are interested in winning which in turn brings in money.

 

It's because of the speed on defense in the NCAA vs NFL. In college you have a great player or two on defense, spread em out and they can't cover or run with the offense. In the NFL the defensive players are the best in the world. They're just as fast as the guys on offense. Spreading them out doesn't work when they have 3-5 studs in the front 7. If you spread out they'll kill your QB.

Yeah yeah yeah yeah. 'Hawks maul receivers every game. They lucked out. The defense played well, offense, not so much. They'll have their hands full in Charlotte.

 

Wrong. It was a bad call, and our defense is aggressive, but defenses that aren't aren't ranked #1 in points allowed 4 years straight.

That was a bs call, a defensive player has equal right to space on the field as an offensive player, and kam was in his back pedal and the tight end ran into him, that should have been a no call, period

 

As a defender, If you prevent a receiver from running his route beyond 5 yards past the LOS, it's pass interference unless you're attempting to catch the ball. Chancellor was covering Rudolph. In the middle of his backpedal he, Chancellor, decided to break on the route and ran into Rudolph, preventing him from continuing his route. Chancellor wasn't attempting to catch the ball.

 

Wow, I just came across this video from the Steelers-Bengals game. And here I thought it was a clean sack.
