1/10/16 update: After placing my deposit and order 9/25, my 7568 with FP and TO has finally been built. Expected at the dealer 1/20. TRD Pro 17" wheels with KO2s and Solid Fold 2.0 tonneau on order. It's been a long wait!

I wouldn't go with larger wheels on an Off road but you'll love that truck.

Though my truck is at the opposite end of the spectrum from this one, I really like it, except for the front bumper. Why on Gods green earth do then not paint the bumper? I recently seen one and could not believe how bad that black front looked.

I plan to order mine tomarrow 1/11/2016. What am I in store for? What should I expect? what is a reasonable deposit?

    Any advise is appreciated.

I'd plan on at least 3 months wait unless your dealer can grab an allocation from another dealer. Keep on them for updates every few weeks and I wouldn't put more than $500.00 down and get everything in writing before signing any papers. Good luck!

That is solid advice. I tell you what I think is going to happen. They currently have two access cabs left in stock. I was told the next shipment is a month out. I bet they take my deposit and try to deal when the next shipment arrives. They claim two is already sold.

I ordered my Inferno DC OR on 12/5/15, I was told it would take 8-10 weeks but it could be more....or it could be less. It's been 5+ weeks and I don't have a temporary VIN or any idea when I will be able to take possession of the Tacoma.

Yeah, seems like the dealers have no clear idea when they give time lines. It took so long I thought they were blowing smoke and we're not going to sell the truck at the price we agreed on.

So... I thought I'd stroll down to the local dealer w/ $10k cash to put down on a new mgm TRD Off Road dcsb 4x4 like I posted a couple weeks back. 3 dealers playing all this B.S. what everyone is talking bout later I joining this forum and heard about the out of state dealer. Called him and was ready to put in an order when he told me they just got the exact truck I want. Overnight cashiers check and notary signed paperwork... But now my grieving wait is a transporter:eek: thought that part would've been the slam dunk. Supposedly it'll get shipped out this week. This thread is true comraderie!! So, still waiting:D.... Even though that S.o.B. is just sitting in a dealership 2k miles away in my name w/ insurance being paid....

I put down a $1000.00 deposit on a MGM TRD OR DC Long bed on 11/10/15.
A week later after seeing a few sweet quicksand rigs on here I knew that was the color I really wanted, so I called dealer back to cancel MGM order and start over. Dealer says no problem we can still make changes so changes were accepted by toyota 12/1/15 with a build date of 12/22/15 . Then build date was pushed back until 1/6/16 for unknown reasons, hopefully to address the hood vibe issues.
Dealer says he expects on their grounds by the end of January.

Placed order with dealer on 12-12-15 for a DCSB SR in quicksand. Dealer claimed that Toyota wouldn't accept the order due to the color. Went back to dealer on 12-19-15 and changed order to a DCSB OR with tech, premium, and JBL in quicksand. Was told 8 - 12 weeks. Supposed to get an update today. We'll see.
