alright .....so theres this girl i like and she just told me that her ex boyfriend hit her and called her tonight and was threatening her and her friends.

(other things he has done while they were dating) cheated twice (once with a girl and once with a dude) (< wtf i know)

she says its ok now and not to worry about it but this really pisses me off and i wanna get in my truck and to to his house and tie him up and kill him slowly :D but i wont do that

i may just kick his ass

im the kinda person who is nice, never speaks whats on his mind, and is quiet, and never gets in trouble but im the kinda person you DONT wanna piss off

well what I'm trying to get at is what would you do if this was a girl that u liked? and how you would handle the situation?

my father abused my mother, many times, and in front of me so im kinda biased. i think any man who can stoop low enough to hit a woman needs to have his ass beat severely. i have no respect for guys like that and if i were to catch it happening id beat his ass too.

buttt....she says he hit him, he'll prob say he didnt. itll be a he said she said thing. i dont act on just heresay, i gotta see it. id probably tell the guy that if you ever see it or see proof of it his ass is yours. but i wouldnt kick his ass just yet. you'll end up getting in trouble.

i am like you and keeps quiet, would love to kick some ass but i think about what would happen if i did. i don't like jail, never been there and don't plan on it. just try and talk to her and convince her to leave the duche bag and if he keeps up his shit let the cops handle it. my .002

higher...what im about to tell you WILL not be the option you want to take

    HOWEVER

you need to NOT get involved in this situation on any personal level...

abuse among couples is a very very very difficult thing to deal with, and if it has come to the point of physical abuse...it needs to be reported and documented

the best thing you can do for her...is to convince her that she needs to report such things

abuse occurs in a cyclical fashion...it starts small...with something like verbal abuse...yelling...screaming...threats...whatever...then theres whats called "honeymoon" phase...where the abuser is all kinds of sweet and im sorry and all that garbage...then it repeats itself...

as it repeats...it continues to get worse and worse

there are 2 outcomes of abusive relationships

the abused finds help and leaves
    or
1 or both parties end up dead

its a very sad situation, however the BEST thing you can do for her is be there for her and support her and help her make the decision to get away from this fuckstick

i think what imma do is hold back for a while and tell her to call me anytime he tries to hurt her in any way

and THEN (as a song goes) my fist in his face and his face on the floor :D

also im 17 so i wont go to jail (right?)

Your just going to end up in jail, paying fines, and on probation. Let the cops do the dirty work. You can be charged as an adult.

just because they arent "together" so to speak...doesnt mean that theres not contact

she needs to not talk to him...not see him as much as possible...i know lugoff is a very small town...but she needs to do everything she can to avoid him

if you are around and it happens...by all means...defend her...but do not go above and beyond the force necessary to stop the assault

this is a very long road that she's going to need help going down...but first she has to make the decision to go down that road...thats where you need to play the biggest part in her life

remind her that this is not normal behavior...and how it spirals downward...etc etc

talk to someone who wont necessarily make you tell them who...because if confronted when shes not ready...she wont say what she needs to say to who she needs to say it to

pretty much nowadays...violent crimes with weapons...the weapon will get swabbed for DNA...its tough to falsify

trust me...i KNOW what youre going thru...my gf in college was grabbed and hit by her ex the night of my sr formal

it took 5 of my fraternity brothers to keep me pinned against a wall while the others "escorted" him away from the party

it took every ounce of my will power to NOT do anything but be there for her after the fact and in the end...she hasnt spoken to him since that night and is now happily married...to someone else

Dude. Thats not the way. I hate to say it, but find another girl. There is no harm in helping people, but don't put yourself in harms way. You re too young to get locked up.

    again

seeing him do it and hearing about it are 2 different things

like i said...by all means...defend the girl if need be...but do not use more force than necessary to stop the assault

otherwise you'll end up in jail
