Hey TW. Pretty much what the title states here... In in the PNW so a lot of people ask a lot for their toyotas here, but I want to see what you guys think might be a fair asking price.
As of now I have it up for $7500
its got a 3.4l with about 211,5xx miles...
new 33x12.5 duratracs as of this summer.
    bilstein 5100s set at 0''
AAl in rear for about 3" total lift.
the frame isnt rotting by any means, but it has a few surface rust spots here and there, mostly around where the frame is C shaped and not boxed.
its and auto trans with the rear locker... 4x4.
everything works as it should except for the horn and the ABS

Where you live plays a major part in this. Im going to guess east coast, Appalachians? The body damage to the truck are going to be the biggest negative. Thats a $2000-3000 paint job right there, plus a new bumper. $7500 seems on the high end because of the body. Remember, non OEM mods dont add value to a car, not to the general public.

Not trying to knock you down or anything. But I wouldn't pay anymore then about 4500 for it.

Ahh, ok. I was just looking at the backgrounds for a guess.

Yes, if someone offered you 8k, i would have taken it and ran. Personally i would value it below $5000, probably closer to $4000, again because of the body damage and mods. I would bet they were not looking for a daily driver or work truck, but for a wheeling truck.

haha I'm probably just another Washington guy who thinks his toyota is worth gold, than.. But maybe that means someone is willing to pay it? :D Ill keep it at 7500 for now and see what happens.. Maybe Ill get out with around $5k but I figure its worth trying.

Someone will fall in Lust and just need to have your truck .

They will offer the asking price without giving it more then a casual glance.

It just depends if you can wait that long.

First time Tacoma buyer? I'd pay close to 7. You're asking people who own tacomas and know the truck in and out so we're going to be very critical. Hang on to it until you get 6-7k

Buddy of mine wants to buy it, said on the ad I'm firm on the price, so if all goes to plan it looks like I'm getting 7500!

Yeah I figure he'll offer 7, in which case I'd keep the roof rack system since it was a little pricey

To each there own I would never sell a vehicle unless it was for a few hundred $$ to anyone one I know.

As you will hear every little problem that truck has including the tires picking up a stone.

Unless your real lucky best of luck

To the general public the ABS not working would be a breaking point, also got my 04 at 144k for about that price

Its usually a bad idea to do business with friends or family. Any prolonged issues that come up with the truck are going to involve you long after the sale whether you want them to or not.

Speaking from first hand, several less friends and several less thousands of dollars later.

If you're not in a hurry, list it for 7500 to 8000 and see what you get. If you had someone willing to give you 8000 for it, chances are there's someone out there that will do the same.

I think you could get around $5,500 for it. Honestly, the exterior is in down right shit condition. I doubt anyone actually made you that offer with cash in hand ready to buy, probably just some asshole jerking you around. Also doubt your friend is going to give you that much for it. I would take off the tires and look for some cheap, used 31's to put on it. You're definitely not going to get your money back with a new set of tires on it. Sorry for such a grim reply but I don't think there's anything more toxic in your situation than to have such high hopes. GLWS!

I was a little worried about that.. He checked it out and saw everything, and the truck runs fine... He got a loan out for 6800 and offered that- told him I'd think about it.. If he were a close friend I'd say yes, but I only see him every now and then, I don't wanna be cocky about how much I think it's worth but I'm gunna wait to see if I can do better.

That's kinda what I thought but no one has seemed to mind

    :yay:

If it doesn't sell soon I'll take the 6800, otherwise I'll hold out a little longer, I'm not in any rush to sell it.
