Probably the best thing to do IMO. Without the liner this is a better solution.

Great idea. Beats sucking in mist spray when it's raining. I'm going to do that today.

I no longer have fender liners and also need ideas on how to prevent sucking in mist of water... I guess a snorkel is the best fix? Or somehow install new fender liners

Snorkel is the best option if you don't mind the look of a snorkel. Still trying to figure out something not as big as stupid as a snorkel IMO

I plugged the fender hole on my Volant.

And fender liners made out of garage vinyl flooring (idea from NYCO):

I managed to keep the very top portion of my liner that covers the intake pipe, it's been fine so far through a couple rain storms and water crossings, but snorkel is number two on the list after getting a spare rim and tire

What offset are your rims and width of your tires. I am running 33's on 20" rims and barely rubbed on the bottom end and nothing at the top end. I still have my upper section of the rain guard

I went full retard and left just enough room to get a socket in there just in case I need too in the future. Cut right along the mount and boxed it just at the tip

Actually ...that was the exact look on my face after reading your informative post over in expo land about pumping NyQuil up your butt
But hey...what happens camping in the desert stays in the desert...unless of course video footage emerges....
