If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I just shoved a piece a rubber wedge under the contact to make it a closed loop.

    Clean, simple, free.

But, as we all know, some people would rather pay than do anything themselves. So GLWS!

True! That's why I posted this one for sale.

I used to do the same thing. Shove a plastic wedge in there. A few aren't comfortable with it, but you and I know it works either way.

Roman I know you just got married, and Congrats. Just got my relay today and I don't have one of these under the left hand part of the steering wheel. Any insight brother would be great

The interior fuse panel below the steering wheel.
You will have to remove the bottom panel below the steering wheel to expose the fuse panel.
Once you get that fuse panel exposed, you might have to remove four bolts that hold that fuse panel in place. This will allow you to "SLIGHTLY" move it down to reach your hand BEHIND the fuse panel.
On the back side of the fuse panel you will see three relays. The relay furthest to your left - furthest towards the driver's side door - is your relay for the power outlets.
You can remove it and test by plugging something in the outlets and see if it starts to charge or not.
If you have trouble removing the relay due to "large hands/fingers" you may use a small flathead screwdriver to pry it off.
Make sure you have the negative side of the battery disconnected!

Wow I thought this was a pop in pop out kind of thing. I have zero knowledge of taking panels or anything else apart. be a bit before I send my core to you brother. It's freezing here and this doesn't sound like a 5 to 10 minute job

With the contact being permanently closed, this doesn't drain th battery slowly over time? Sometimes, my truck would sit for a week or so.

nope. if you dont have anything plugged in..
even if you charge your phone on there overnight, it wouldnt kill your battery, been there done that lol

a lot of older vehicles had always hot power outlets.. and they never had this problem :notsure:
