To the first statement - bullshit! Second statement - bullshit! I hope your 45K+ has emphasis on the +, otherwise show me one. King Ranch are now 60K. That means you might get one for 52K.

It'd easily take a few dirt bikes. I guess I get spoiled with the F150 box depth.

No specs released yet on the box. Given though that the media who saw it figured the wheel wells were only 1-2 inches in the box I'd say it's probably even 3" shorter than the tacoma box height wise inside.

Two bikes in the bed, gear bags in the rear passenger area...that trunk full of ice and beer...and "if" it gets 25-27 hwy mpg, be a great getting to the trail head vehicle, is what I am thinking. ;)

I knew someone with the old Ridgeline. With the trunk full of ice, cold water, and 4 dozen beer there was nothing left in the rear suspension lol.

And this would represent maybe 1 of every 100 buyers.

To each his own... I don't dig it man. Nice try, but this is going to be a big flop, just like the prior version.

There is a video from Honda Pro Jason on his Facebook account that clearly shows the "gap" is a dark trim piece.

1st gen Tacomas weren't that much different. 2nd/3rd gen aren't much better.

Thanks. I haven't seen that yet but that makes sense and still helps with the panel flex. On the old ridgeline any body flex from high payload would slowly crinkle the paneling between the cab and box. In the new design the fake gap is like a flex point where the truck panel can bend a little without visibly showing damage.

That does indeed look short, but isn't the Tacoma's box height like 2"(sorry, 5cm) shorter than the Colorado/Canyon?

Around here that might represent 2 in every 100 Tacoma's

I think it's one inch shorter than a 2016 and two inches shorter than a 2015 on a Colorado. So go even shorter on the Ridgeline.
