After seeing pictures of the new Ridgeline I don't think Toyota has anything to worry about.

They totally are! Why the Swears comment of the 55 and older owners, was odd.

Though most of the riders I know are 40+.

It is what these little trucks are good for anyways...hauling toys. Not really designed for "real" work, imo.

Not sure why some are making fun of the bed...DCSB Tacos are roughly the same, which seem to be more
popular than the ACLB, or even the DCLB.

I just finished looking through the pics.. I'm so glad I got the Tacoma. Ridgeline is no truck, its car with a trunk inside a larger exposed trunk.

My reaction whenever one these pulls up next to my Tacoma..

window assembly is directly attached to the rear of the cab. This would allow for lower costs bed replacement.

mini antenna... I'm getting to it! Sheesh!
That is one booooring looking "truck." And I thought it looked terrible with the Avalanche looking bed. It looks worse now, like a civic with a bed on the back. Yuck!

I agree. Two totally different vehicles for two totally different markets.
The Tacoma is a cab on frame truck whereas the Ridgeline is a unibody SUV/truck like hybrid. They'll be minimal overlap for buyers. Folks that want a real truck will go Tacoma. Folks that want a more car like luxurious ride, go to Home Depot vehicle, will opt for the Ridgeline.

What would Honda have to do? Try building a real body on frame TRUCK. You know...V-6, 6000+ tow, decent SEPARATE bed, etc...etc...

And I'm absolutely baffled as to why so many would want a Tacoma with an itty bitty bed that looks like it got rear ended.

LMAO! I wonder if full size pickup guys have a similar reaction when a Tacoma pulls up next to them.

I'd think that folks that want a real truck will go full size, even HD.

They are mostly useless. I put toppers on all my trucks...so it is basically just a giant trunk, great for gear bags, coolers, and such. Have a trailer for the motos, and Lowes/Home Depot flats of flower and mulch runs. :D

I like trucks with toppers over SUV's...I spilled a gallon or so of gas in my 4Runner...that sucked. Nice to keep the stinky stuff like gas and sweaty MX gear separate from the passenger compartment.

I'm sure they do, but their smirk goes away when they pull up to the fuel pump.

Yerp, I consider the mid-sizes recreational commuter vehicles. great vehicles...just not really all that good for heavy work. Heck, when I worked construction...even 1 ton trucks were consider not enough, ok for hauling tools for the bigger earth moving equipment.

These "my truck is more truck, than yours" pissing matches are funny...since it is all relative.

Really? I got 19 in my Tacoma. Sometimes 20. I get a solid 18 in my Ram HD, mostly around the Phoenix area. I'd likely get 19 if I went anywhere cross country.

are you talking capacity or MPG? I'm referring to MPG as in needing to fill up more often.
