I have the stock headlights and am looking to upgrade the headlights to a HID/Xenon bulb. Any recommendations?

I recently bought the zXe bulbs. I'm satisfied. Much whiter than standard bulb. supposedly the bulb is xenon charged.

Custom retrofits are the way to go. Beware of Rechelon Aesthetics, though.

Philips Ultinon LED bulbs, best way to go IMO.

Will be putting a light bar as well behind the bottom grill, just modified the plate mounting just enough to clear the light bar, holes were already drilled by dealer so just found a way around it.

As did I two days ago. Totally satisfied, and easy to, which is important because I really have no business messing with anything.

Are they plug and play? Or need resistors, heat sink, whatever?

Both fogs and headlights are plug and play. Headlights has a small inline regulator/ballast maybe about the size of an altoids tin. The fogs has a smaller regulator as well. Both just require one wire install, able to get a good seal around headlight bulb using original rubber boot. On the expensive side, but less than a retrofit, instant on, can flash high beams, no fans on heatsinks.

Those look great but wanted to keep the stock look but still get great lighting. Can you flash with those or do you have combo HID/Halogen bulb? How much was the retrofit and bulbs. I'm out about $350 for all the bulbs very much plug and play. 3 year warranty from Phillips 50,000 hour lifespan I believe.

I got all my stuff for 630 dollars with all morimoto components, i also got color matched housings and a demon eye. The bulbs are 6000k HIDs and i have no problem flashing them between everything.

Thanks! I appreciate it. The problem with doing a retrofit is you have to buy a trailer hitch because they pull so many girls:bananadance:

Yeah, he failed to seal the headlights that I had on my truck before I switched back to stock lights. Also does pretty shoddy work I've seen three pairs of headlights made by him in person and each one had major issues. Here's some pics of his "work."

Dying halo because of moisture, INSIDE of lense fogged up because of improper seal:
    799D8794-4BBA-4FEF-A4B2-B504F2ECCBE1.png_ae632f2eb95f778c5c3352370480f123bd209778.jpg

How he makes his wire pass-throughs (butyl rubber fell off long ago. Probably another source of moisture):

    Loads of JB weld:
    CBA06A3F-06E0-48E1-BB28-B77A9EFCAE64_zps_858ab3925c93eaacc2442c9bddf35999c0310397.jpg

Some kind of chewing gum used to "fix" the broken reflector bowl:

Poor paint job. Probably due to lack of prep or incomplete process:

I had my lights done by @stancedtacoma on instagram. Super chill guy and when UPS broke them the first time he took them back and fixed them for free. Great guy!
