Yeah I know, however, it has been quite some time since I saw one rolling down the freeway, but when I did, it was eating a Taco.

I get 18-20 in my Tacoma...some of my fullsize buddies are getting that or better. I like Tacomas, but they get piss poor gas mileage for what they are. If anything fullsize guys are at the pump less, since you can get bigger gas tanks than a Tacoma too.

I'm saying that my Tacoma hardly got better fuel economy than my HD.

We should all be watching Alabama vs Clemson. I'm sipping Woodford Reserve and Coke and listening to the game that's on tv in the other room.

It all depends on where you live.. if your out in the country big trucks do better, in the city you need a smaller truck like the Tacoma. Even with a DCLB I feel comfortable weaving through traffic or maneuvering through tight spaces. You can't get that confidence in a full size truck.

Honda was trying to build a truck for the city, but instead built a car with a bed.. Tacoma remains top truck for city and rural environments.

What does that have to do with fuel economy?

I used to own a F250, lived in the country and commuted into a large city (Pittsburg, PA)...never felt unconfident in that...maybe had even more confidence. People tend to get out of the way of a bigger truck, where-as Toyotas they don't.

Think Honda was trying to fill a light duty truck niche, believe they did well. For being a car with a bed (a Trar :p) the payload of roughly 1600 lbs is better than a 4WD DCSB Tacoma (1175 lbs), that isn't too shabby!

The 01 diesel, mpg in the city is 8 to nine on a good day. On I5 to San Diego last week, it averaged 17-18 at 68 mph.

I would like to say it's some hottie I had/have involvement in but in reality it's something I pulled off the internet :anonymous:

While this Trar might be cool, I much would prefer if someone made a Vruck. This is a segment that is long overdue for Toyota, Honda or whoever to enter it. :D

The back seat of the new Ridgeline seems way bigger than the Tacoma. The Ridgeline is a little unorthodox but I gotta say I am pretty impressed with what I have seen so far.

    Awesome thanks!

Can fit a 64 qt. cooler in the trunk...lack of a better term, that is cool! Kinda funny, he referenced it can haul full size dirt bikes. The back seat features are pretty sweet too!

My 2014 KR had a msrp 55k and I bought it for 46k.
You can buy a nicely equipped 2016 KR that has a 55k msrp for similar discount.
    Above are facts.

As far as the bs flags you threw. I believe most would agree the Tacoma interior can not compete with the King Ranch interior.
Capability is subjective. And a properly equipped Tacoma will run circles around an F150 in most rock-trail-woods-off road duty.
But in the general sence the F150 is more capable as a pickup truck.
    Above are opinions.

Just to support this, and :stirthepot:, in Canada my 2015 F150 XTR 4x4 pkg 301A with tow package was 51K sticker. Price after talking was 40.5K plus taxes. 10.5K discount, and not through Ford programming. My 2016 F150 XTR 4x4 pkg 301A was 50.5K. Just under 40K plus taxes under Ford corporate pricing through another dealer.

My 2013 Tacoma was 38K on the sticker including delivery. I paid 37K OTD... Ford kills on rebates because of their sheer size and price model.

The 2016 is my new work truck. Company owned. My 2015 is my wifes truck. It replaced the Tacoma for dump runs, towing our TT, and other "truck stuff". The Tacoma is now more of an OR toy with some daily driver duty than anything else.

I got lucky with my current job but most of my peers are struggling with school debt and the crazy cost of living in California. Most of those who are considered middle class really can't afford new cars anymore.
