My hood has also been flexing/vibrating. Brought to dealer in south Florida. Service rep told me after a test drive that it was normal. I had him look under the hood and showed him the gunk that's separated from the hood frame. He then agreed that it should get fixed but their body shop will take care of it. Seemed like to me that the body shop manager didn't know what to do or didn't want to fix it. The comprise was to order a new hood completely. Monday I'm dropping her off. Let's see how long it will take. I was promised a rental until it's fixed. We'll see

At least you know where not to go if your truck ever needs body work.

My new off-road from the baja plant arrived Wednesday and the hood adhesive is intact, FYI.

Today update. I dropped of truck on Tuesday at 1:30,truck is going to the bodyshop for adhesive repair and should be done in 1 to 2 days. Got a call back on Friday at 4:00 and truck should now be done on Monday. They have now had the truck longer than I have owned it. I sure hope it is finished in Monday.

How many others have heard the old adage about not buying the first year of a major redesign of a vehicle?
I remember being told that by my dad back in the 60s...

Lol, I'm betting you got them to swap out your hood for a sport hood.

Today (1/11/16) Finally heard back from dealership. I thought, wow time to go get my truck. But no, they said they replaced sealant on hood and it separated again. Now they have to redo it with a different sealer. They have had my truck for 1 week now and do not know when it will be completed. This sucks

I pick mine up tomorrow morning. They told me only 1 day. Now I'm worried they rushed it. We shall see.

Dropped by this morning to pick her up before work. Told me it wasn't ready and apologized for not notifying me. He mentioned its being prepped for paint. Looks like a new hood. :fingerscrossed:

Got, mine back today from the repair, looked good from my end of things. Doesn't move at all while driving anymore and they did an amazingly clean job. The service manager commented on how he felt there just wasn't enough applied during manufacturing. I was waiting for my shuttle looking at a base model they had in the showroom and I ended up talking to who I thought was a salesman, and he was asking me a pile of questions about how the truck was, how I liked it and what it was in for. I showed him on the hood that was up on the showroom truck and sure enough it was even worse then mine was with 0 km's on it.

The best part, it turned out to be the general manager and he was actually honestly surprised and said thanks for showing him. I didn't know who it was until I was being shuttled home and the driver told me who he was to the dealership. So I wouldn't loose my mind over it, just make sure you get your dealership to fix it correctly I guess but mine did an awesome job. Let's see how it holds up.

Have had a first year Camry, Prius, Avalon, a couple of Colorados (one of which was a 2005 and traded for the Taco) and have never had issues or regretted it. Am sure there were others that were first year. Back in the 60's , 70's, 80's ....though they redesign vehicles about every year. Remember the Chevy/Ford Dealerships having big open houses around October and everyone would flock to them to see the new vehicles...and get free hotdogs.

Got mine back this afternoon, it had been in the body shop over a week. Everything looked great on the way home, pretty solid. Maybe a very slight vibration on the driver's side but nothing like it was before. We live several miles down dirt roads, so we'll see how it holds up over time. They loaned me an Avalon for the duration and I can honestly say....I LOVE my truck!

Would you mind uploading the pictures of the new adhesive between the hood frame and the hood skin?

They "repaired" my hood 3 times over the span of 10 days....it's still flexing, after 3 attempts, the main spot is separated and they totally missed a spot on the passenger side, I just rolled up a tiny piece of double sided 3m tape and it solved the problem.....I should have done this with all the spots and never gone to the dealership

I'm just living with it for now I'll complain again down the road but I like you got sick and tired of being without my truck, they had it longer than I did at that point.
