I for one don't like chrome, but I also have a TRD sport. Also MGM. The black IMO looks good with the Grey. Especially if you tint the Windows. But it's all personal preference. I can't remember what I paid but I believe it was under 200

Yea I noticed the new one sits higher it seemed. Even higher than my TRD. Dealer told me they made them all the same height as the TRD so maybe it's just me. But it definitely feels higher than my second gen. Window tint is definitely a must. Also helps protect the interior and makes it harder for thieves to see what's inside

So much to learn from my truck. I need to learn how to take off the tonneau cover which I saw on YouTube which look easy. What is annoying is I need to figure out if the gauges can Lit up or brighter when you are running the DRL. So far I get around 22 mpg since I been doing mix driving. I need to do a intro page later.

My brother in law has a 2015 tacoma sr5 Tforce and yeah ours seem higher. It's annoying that it so high makes the side look empty and you can see the holes.

Any recommendations for seat covers. I know it's off topic.

I didn't specify but it should be graphite. I think the black is only available on certain color options. The graphite is already darker than what comes in the second gen.

As far as seat covers, truthfully I just got some cheap off the shelf neoprene ones from Costco. I think they were like $20 for the pair, black with grey center and they fit our seats surprisingly well. Waterproof and a fraction of what custom covers cost. Between those and the husky exact contour mats, my truck has stayed clean and I'm always getting in it muddy and sweaty from mountain biking.

Side note, Plus side to the 5" nerf bars is that most cars can't ding your doors. A week after getting my 2nd gen and installing them, some idiot opened his door right into my nerf bars. I heard it hit then laughed. Dude didn't even apologize

Gauges shouldn't be illuminated when you have the DRLs on. They should only light up when you turn it to the running lights or turn the headlights on. At that point you should be able to adjust the brightness

Alright atrouth. Thanks I will go Costco this weekend. And looking to get 5" nerf bars. And I'm waiting for weathertech mats to come out. I have them in my 15' Highlander and love em.

Yea Costco usually has the seat covers. Just neoprene general fit ones. They likely have different colors but they work really well. Costco also has cheap Michelin floor mats if you want to protect the existing ones until the custom fit comes out.

Also if you're not loyal to weather tech I highly recommend checking out the husky xact contour ones. Same concept, full coverage, high sidewalls, etc, except they're more like rubber and less plastic feeling than weather tech. Pretty sure they have a lifetime warranty too. And they're laser fit

If I had my 16 already I would let you know. I'm sure someone on here has tried it. And I seem to remember some manufacturers already having the aftermarket ones

Look on autoanything before you buy from eBay. The prices on their nerf bars are around the same but their customer service is awesome, fast free shipping and usually have 10-20% orders over $99. They also have a one year lower price guarantee (which they will honor). I had bought something from them and 6 months later they had it on sale, they refunded me the difference lol.

Also just checked their steel craft nerf bars for the 2016 are the same part number as the 2015. So I'm sure it's the same for the Westin and other ones, they just haven't listed it yet

Raptor 4" oval rails, OEM door sill protectors, totally debadged, OEM mud guards, OEM bed mat, OEM S/S tail pipe extension, BDT tailgate letters, Weather Tech sun screen.
I got my SR5 DC the last week in December. Ordered the Raptor SS 4" ovals from RunningBoard Warehouse. Delivered (free shipping) in 2 days during the holidays. Very well made bars and fit perfect (installation took me about 1 1/2 hours (I'm slow). The mounting brackets matched perfectly to the pre-drilled/tapped mounting holes on the Tacoma. The sales rep said they would fit from 10' to 16' and he was dead right. RunningBoard Warehouse had many styles and brands to choose from. BYW, I AM NOT A REP OR A SPOKESPERSON FOR THEM. They just had a great price and great service.

I want to see these in person on the tacoma, I had that exact design on my Raptor and I liked them. I am leaning this way for now but I still like the predator style also.

I saw the predator on a truck at the dealer. They really help getting in. Not that it's too high to get in, but it helped getting your legs under the steering wheel. They did not have one with the cast boards.Cast are another $100 .
