I still see nothing that changes my mind. The Ref was standing 20 feet away....watched the whole thing....and never called a penalty.
Hendricks doesn't hit Ekblad "square in the numbers" like the video says. He catches his left shoulder. If dipshit Ekblad didn't duck down so badly - he would've been just fine. It's his own fault for diving down, as Hendricks' weight is unloading.

Diving down? Da fuq are you talking about..? Did you miss the part where they clearly state he makes no last minute or sudden movement just before the hit? Season after season of shit hockey has really taken its toll on you fans

Sorry if you feel that way. I've never once said the Oilers were in danger of becoming a force to be wary of. They have an absolute disaster of a Defense core - that they're stuck with. Some key players out of the line-up. Every team in this league uses them as an absolute doormat. They play hockey with the softness that only a box of tissue knows.
And when the Oilers finally have a game where they're the ones providing the 'sandpaper' play......all the haters emerge like vultures. Any other team in the league gets away with it on a nightly basis.

 

Clearly the department of player safety disagrees with you.. but what do they know about plays like this anyways I'm sure a biased oilers fan can objectively analyze the play better than they can haha
