Ok well, I called bakflip.com but they don't know anything about this product coming. I figured I might as well call to get the answer. So am at a bit of a loss as to what is really up. Where did those install docs come from?

Good to hear. Price was right considering Canadian dollar is in the pooper... Still 10-15 days out shipping direct from manufacturer.

I am lost as to who's website is actually the official / manufacture on this product. It all seems misleading.

http://bakindustries.com I think is the official site for the bak products. Others are resellers.

It's true...it is all very difficult to figure out. All I know is that they are available for order on bakfliptonneaucover.com.

Do the 2016 bakflips still have the drain tubes in the front? Seems like if you level the truck these wouldn't work and the water from the rails would just drain into the bed from the back. I'm interested in the bakflip as long as water won't drain into the bed.

Anyone have any experience with these on a leveled truck?

I suspected the utilization of the existing rail system would require them to be removed and remounted lower, I guess that's okay, but some strength and rigidity is probably lost, but still cool nonetheless to be able to still have the rail system available.

Anyways, thank you for the supplemental install sheets. You wouldn't happen to have the standard install sheets available to be posted would you?

based on install instructions that were shown here, the new cover rails utilize a new bracket that allows you to move the Tacoma bed rails down a bit and still have them fully functional as opposed to the old mounting which used the rails (same as some other cover companies do for Tacoma).

Not sure of any other major improvements though.

I'm debating getting one, but I'm concerned about the security issue I saw on youtube. The rear has enough lift on the 2014 model so you can slip a screw driver underneath and activate the release cable opening the cover.

I would venture that would be an issue with most covers. Though I don't know much about some of the hard or fold up covers. I think it comes down to an increase in security over a truxedo style while keeping the ability to roll it up.

I'll be ordering one and hope it works out.

It should keep out most intruders except maybe ones that would break in no matter what.
