Yeah the flip side of that is I'm usually in bed pretty early like 10ish but it's not unusual to be falling asleep right after dinner. If it's a big dinner I pig out then pass out

Waking up at 5 am during school never bugged me much throughout the day. I normally need a slight boost around noon (usually a light lunch/snacks do the trick. Cashews ftw) but I get most of my homework done before classes start for the day, goto the gym at 6 when it opens and come 10pm ish I am more than ready to pass out and get a solid nights sleep. The biggest thing that helped me get through the day is stepping out of the building and seeing the sun and breathing some fresh air.

I'm looking forward to trying it in the morning. I might wake up and go outside and drink my coffee and then head to the gym.

and not a single gain was made :stirthepot:

Well, I woke up at 5:50 and was just about to get ready and started thinking about training fasted, which I'm not a fan of...so, I went back to bed lol. I'm gonna try to think of a way I can get up at like 5:50 and be at the gym by 6 and not have to train fasted. I guess I could eat a banana on the way to the gym (although, I only live like a mile from the gym) and/or drink some BCAA's before/during the workout. I really don't want to get up any earlier b/c I'm up so late on school nights already. I'm going to the gym this afternoon, so I'm just gonna tell my friends I can't b/s around today so I can get home and read.

I'm thinking my banana/BCAA's idea will be good. The idea of training fasted has never appealed to me, despite all the bullshit about "extreme fat burning". Energy comes from carbs and I need energy to workout. Having a good workout is more important to me than burning fat

Light bulb moment: I'm gonna just make a shake the night before. 2 scoops ON, banana, water. I'm gonna put it on the nightstand, chug it in like 10 secs and head out.

It takes 30 seconds to make that shake. You can't get up 1 minute earlier to get up and make it in the morning? What's wrong with you.

I do the same thing Zack. Just shake it. I would leave the banana put and eat it on the way.

My personal favorite is a piece of toast, light layer of peanut butter and a glaze of honey on the top. Lots of calories, not super heavy and makes me feel better.

Training fasted ain't that bad once you get used to it. But then again since you're on a tight schedule, I'm not sure how much time you have for a post-workout meal.
Post-workout meals after training fasted are sooooo goooood. lol

Everytime I train fasted I end up throwing up, and not because I'm going too hard. I turn ghost white and then purge

I've got to be able to wake up, eat a good breakfast and let it sit before I can lift. Oh, and also have a morning dump. Nothing gets me more out of whack than missing a morning dump sesh

I don't train fasted often. If anything maybe once or twice a month for an early Saturday morning work out.
