That's definitely simpler, but that will leave you with yellow DTRL and the white lighting up only on the "off" portion of the turn/hazard cycle when the headlights/parking lights are turned on.

The stock "hot" wire to that socket is on full time for the DTRL (headlights off), and for the parking lights (park lights or headlights on) and only off in the dark portion of the turn/hazard cycle, so if that's wired to the yellow pin on the switchbacks, the bulb will be yellow in all those conditions. If you want the DTRL to be white and then flash yellow for the turn/hazard, you'll have to tie into the rear "hot" wires for each side to feed the yellow pin and run the front wire to the white pin with both grounds (or maybe only one, they should be connected inside the switchback bulb) of course going to the factory ground for the circuit. There is an advantage to doing this, since you might be able to use just two load resistors, one for each side, since the turn/hazard bulbs would then essentially be wired in parallel off the flasher, and those resistors could be mounted onto the frame under the truck where the heat they put out can be isolated from any other wires and made completely harmless.

I don't have DRL on my truck... Therefore there aren't any hot wires going into that socket until I turn on the turn signals. So if I jump from the outer stock parking light to power the white side, it will be on when I turn the parking lights on and then when apply the turn signal, white will turn off and yellow will come on flashing for signal until I turn them off... After a short pause of no turn signal it will go back to the original white

Got it. I was assuming you already had the DTRL on the truck to be using the switchbacks.

Since you don't have the DRL, would you be interested in a LED flasher relay for your truck? Save you the trouble of wiring up resistors.

I bought one (8-pin) on Amazon and didn't find out until I tried to install it that I've got a 12-pin relay since I've got the factory DTRL and can't use it. I was hoping it might work in my other car if I wanted to swap for LEDs, but it's looking like that car has some completely different unit with a round socket or something.

PM me if you're interested, I'd be willing to mail it out first and you can paypal me when you get it - the cost of it isn't a big deal in my overall budget, not worth the time to work out a return on amazon since it's my mistake anyway, it just seems like a waste for it to not get used by anyone.

Sure do. You're sure you need the 8 pin?

I don't have DTRL, so I'm pretty sure I have the 8 pin

After reading this thread, it sounds like these will not work for your blinker. But what about your taillight bulb? I have the stock tail lights and just want a brighter taillight. Will this work?
