Not necessarily. Folks that don't need a HD work truck and just want something with some off road capabilities and a mid size to haul around property owner stuff would take a Taco LB or GM twin LB over a Ridgeline. I fall into this category. I own a couple of properties and use the LB Taco for a variety of uses that a SB Ridgeline or SB Taco could not satisfy. That extra foot of the LB makes a big difference IMO.
Plus I don't think there's a full size out there that gives owners the dependability of Tacoma. Full size can be a hassle in the inner city to park and get around too.
Sure a full size has all the capabilities of a Tacoma and then some if that's what someone wants or needs. My post was in reference to a Tacoma vs a Ridgeline. Vehicles in the same size class.

The 20-30 truck crowd in my demographic are buying 1500's and 2500's, the Tacoma is sub par truck/vehicle to most... it's got a 4 cyl or 6 cyl, it's small, "inferior"...

...V8s, diesels, 6" lifts, 35" or taller tires, tow mirrors.... gotta have "status"... even though most are dead broke, live at home at age 27 or older, party/drink majority of the nights each week, barely make it outta bed to go to work, but will be on time at the gym to get swoll and wear their color matched flat brim caps/shirts/shoes/shorts...

Gotta admit, the Ridgeline interior is faaar nicer looking than the Tacos...imo. BUT....I cannot get over how it looks like an Odyssey that got chopped "Brat" style.

And, just to keep the internet fight going.... I was looking at a 2015 King Ranch F250 4x4 Crew cab...new, sticker was $76K (Canadian, about $39.00 USD ) and the dealer wanted me to walk away with it for $66K. so I suppose it is very dependent on where you are...

I was shopping between the old Tacoma/Ridgeline. I ended up buying a Tundra because while I liked the Tacoma it was just too small/expensive for what it is. Followed this gen development closely and went to check it out when it came out. Much nicer interior but still too small. I really don't need a 1/2t truck and fuel econ on the Tundra is pretty bad. Now that the RL bed is longer I may look at it again as the interior space is way better in it. The only thing is pricing. Honda wanted way too much money last time for it and I don't see it being any different this time around.

All depends on what you use it for, when we load the bikes into fullsizes, it is awful long way up. You either run beside the truck, or use the bike stand to step on
to step up into the truck, which usually kicks out from underneath you...or it is a 2 person affair, one guy in the bed to grab the bike as a buddy runs it up the ramp.

Looks like the Honda has a low deck height, combined with low bedsides I see loading bikes being easy for one person.

That's my worry. I don't see this thing being cheap. One look at their comperable vehicles (e.g. Pilot and CRV) and Honda charges a heavy premium for those....

Average driver puts on about 13,500 miles a year on their vehicle in the US (I do 40k+). Using 17.5 as the average MPG, going from $2 to $4 a gallon puts an extra ~$1,500 a year in fuel expense or a little less than $30 a week. A deal in my book for 450hp when it's about the same as my 270hp anyway.

The "sausage king" name change by a mod after assuming control of my profile IS a true story.

The rest is merely educated speculation. :)

you can easily change that title unless a mod changes and locks it. Yours is open

I know. The forum I mod it's an admin only right, most forums are the same
way, that's a setting mods don't have access to.
