    As Evenflow stated, less backspacing might start rubbing in areas by the cab mount/firewall. The good thing is that those areas can be clearanced.

    Can you swap in an fj case without a crawl box? I wave to add the crawl box later but put in the fj case sooner.

    Haven't checked in awhile but was 2.8 & 3 last alignment.....how would that affect it?

    Small ones that don't provide new studs are wack........ones that do start at 1.25" (1" you have to cut studs down)......down the rabbit hole it goes.

    Caster is measured by determining where your wheel is located at front to back in your wheel well. The higher the number, the farther forward your wheel is. The lower the number, the farther back your wheel is. This plays a huge part in fitting bigger/wider tires that is continuously overlooked in this thread and is at least as important as back spacing and wheel width specs are. This is especially important if you have an aftermarket front bumper that has high side clearances as you can push your wheel forward much more significantly then if you had a stock front bumper.

    I'm running .75" hubcentric BORA spacers without issues. .75" is the minimum width spacer out there with wheel studs.

    Bro.....I don't want to run spacers! (Sacrifice)

    My questions related to wheel width and bs.

    I know how caster works and I don't touch the firewall at all just not sure how it would affect frame rubbing? Like I said I can't be the only one rubbing frame? I think it's the 17x9 with 4.5" bs.

    If you're a 6 speed as it says in the description, stay away from the 6 speed FJ transfer cases. If you want to swap just the FJ case you will need to buy one from an automatic FJ and swap the input shaft and planetary gearset assembly out with yours.

    You have too much bs. Either change wheels to a 4inch bs or get spacers. Wheel width wont overly effect tires rubbing

    No, but my wheels have depressions in them that allow the little extra stud to clear.

    I rubbed the frame when I had my steel 16s on with 255s.. also rubbed the lower control arms some how..

    I rub the frame right behind the coil bucket. It's a nice smooth area back there so I just touch it up every couple months with paint. I can feel the lugs catch so that's when I know to stop cutting the wheel, custom steering stops is all

    I had read that somewhere. I definitely need to do some research into what it will take before I purchase anything. Also are the twin sticks just so you don't have to cut the floorboard for the shift pattern?

    There is no benefit to the twin stick other than 2 low. If you are planning on getting a crawl box then a twin stick is kinda pointless IMO
