I played through the Institute story on this try, so Tinker Tom....well, isn't a thing any more, thus denying me ballistic weave

 

Nice. What pieces did you use?

 

I miss my elite riot gear

The only thing I've been able to use balistic weave on so far was a one-off type sweater or suit. Iirc I couldn't equip armor over it.

 

Similar to yours , ultra light polymer combat armour over level 5 ballistic weave military fatigues , the big gain came last night when I ditched my 15 point monofilament synth helmet for a level 5 ballistic weave Newsboy's Hat lol

The hat with Level 5 Ballistic Weave is 110 points on its own and +1 CHA haha

 

Get military fatigue and some type of soft hat

Hmm I don't recall that outfit. I wish I could find my copy of that game. I never finished all the dlc's

I read an article about it ages ago and kinda forgot about it until last night when I was trying to find a hat or bandana or something I could weave and wear under my helmet . Thats when I discovered that BW5 gave the hat on its own 110

It looks like Heavy Synth armor is the top teir.

The interesting thing is with Ballistic Weave 5 , I could go out exploring with a 220 armor rating , which is about what I had with modded Heavy Combat Armor and a Synth helmet , in a BW5 tuxedo and hat and save about 150 in weight

 

I knew synth was better just never came across heavy synth shit yet.

 

Update on my recruitment populations... so I guess my charisma bobblehead is working today. I still haven't found the black rimmed glasses despite trying everything the wikia has told me to. I did add a beer to the grape mentats, armored Reginald's suit, and militia hat, 10 charisma, and bobblehead cocktail.

So here's what happened... not what I expected. What did expect was sanctuary and castle to reach 30 pop each, from 29 and 24 pop respectively.
What actually happened is sanctuarys pop is 55 and castle is now 33.

Holy shit. Lmao I didn't expect that at all. Adding one beer to the concoction made sanctuary gain 26 pop and castle gained 9 pop. Just think if I had the black rim glasses hahaha

 

Well apparently fallout was glitching upon arrival in Sanctuary it says 30 pop. Castle now says 34 pop but I'm sure once I get there it will say 30.

 

Same here. I finished the game with The Instute the first time and I never found any. Apparently you can buy it from the Institure vendor, which I never found either. To be fair, I flew through the game in the Minuteman General's outfit, so I ignored armor the entire time.
