You came to a website that caters to Toyota Tacoma owners. Most likely the answer is going to be pretty one sided. Buy what you like. Drive the vehicles that interest you and then make an informed decisioh.

Now for my biased opinion. I had a 2008 Accord. I traded it in on the Tacoma. I should have just bought the Tacoma. My friend has a Frontier. My truck is ten times nicer insided and styled better. Plus, his 4x4 looks like a 2wd it sits so low to the ground. Aftermarket support for the Tacoma is alot stronger than the other models in its class.

yea, figured a little one sided, but also i know that the best people to ask are the ones that know all about them... and what better place to find those people than on a forum. but thanks!

    LMFAO.

Yeah, i would buy a Tacoma. I got one for a gift with 100k on it and it runs like new! I foresee at-least 350k miles.

Oh and no they don't NEED to run on premium gas, just makes it quieter and a little more HP possibly.

if ur going for a truck thats reliable and easy to mod go for a tacoma.

best mid size truck. but if u have the money and ur buying the tacoma for its strength abilities. buy a full sized

Only two things right now that I don't like about my 2010 truck:

    1. The transmission lag (there's an extensive thread on this)
    2. The 'Taco Lean' until fixed with a left side spacer.

My 01 Dodge 1500 with 170k miles on it wasn't cutting it anymore, so I traded it in for a 2010 Tacoma this week. No complaints yet. It was like switching from a Sherman tank to a Cadillac.

I got my first tacoma in June. Previously drove a 99 4runner and a 90 4runner. Never had an issue with either of them, just wanted a truck. Taco was lifted already when I bought it, (spacer lift) and it seems not many are tunning the 18" wheel size. Now, since I drive a Tacoma, I actively look at the other trucks out there, and hands down, the nicer trucks I see are mostly Tacoma's. I see very few frontiers, almost none modded, and a few lifted Dodge 1500's.

I love how the truck drives, not to mention how it looks. Of course, I do not like everything about it, such as lack of creature comforts like leather, and real climate control, and cluster computer, but these are easily rectified with other mods found on this site!

Good luck, I really think you will end up with a Tacoma.

No major complaints on my 2010 Tacoma. A far better truck than my previous '04 Chevy Colorado. That Colorado was a complete POS from the day I bought it...

I'll agree with invisionz, there is a slight transmission lag in the 2010. not nearly as bad as the 2009 from what I hear.

I purchased 2010 Tacoma TRD OFF ROAD 4x4 bcuz it was more comfortable and had better quality interior then HONDA Ridgeline. Also I heard good things about 2010 Tacoma's engine. So far I have 909 miles on this and I have nothing to complain except maybe Toyota could have used better stock Stereo Sub Woofer.

Ive installed few things since my purchase. Hitch Step, Weathertech Liners, Toyota Bed Liner, Extang TUFF Toneau. Once I have some money saved up I am planning to buy LEER Cap and Grill Guard.

Besides this truck have lots of add on features like A-Trac, Rear Locking Differential, backup camera, In Line OIL cooler, upgraded shocks, Rugged Trail tires, Tow hook, upgraded Alternator/Batter etc.

I have a 2009 and love it there really wasn't much change to the 2010 model. I went from a 2006 Tundra XSP to the Taco and have no regrets. Go for it without hesitation you won't go wrong.:D[IMG]
