I have to chuckle a bit at guys who are so hell bent over eliminating chrome they'll risk melting their headlights in order to get rid of the last bit of chrome. But hey... sometimes a good chuckle is needed so press on, Anti-chrome guys ! :)

I've noticed that from the start with the new taco - pictures/angles look
so different from seeing them in person.

I'm not hellbent or anti-chrome but a big reason I got the sport is because it is all color matched. I feel like chrome goes on a classic truck or car with steel bumpers, not a sporty truck or sports car with a plastic grille. Now that everything is black on my truck for the most part the headlights just kind of stick out so I think it looks good with the BHLM. That's just me though. That's why my truck looks different than yours and a lot of other trucks. And I like that. If everyone had the same looking truck that would be boring. I am also little scared to bake my headlights so I probably wont.

Major reason I have been a fan of MINI Coolers for ten years... For every 100,000 off the assembly line, only 2 are identical.

So I am all about you-ification.

I just find it quite amusing some will risk damaging headlights to black them out. You apparently don't want to take that risk so my amusement must have some basis.

Never heard that about the MINI's. That's pretty cool. I wonder if anyone has melted headlights trying it. Anyone ever heard of a failed BHLM?

I read in another thread a few guys damages their headlights trying that mod. There is apparently a pretty exact temperature for your oven and a pretty exact length of time to bake them.

There is and why I've never tried it. Way to easy to ruin them and they're pricey
    as fuk to replace.

Being anti-chrome isn't a bad thing. But baking headlights to remove chrome is maybe just a tad bit over the edge. ;)

I want to get the rear bumper color matched. I got that priced today. It will be $600 to get my chrome pieces sanded and painted or $550 for new ones color matched. That's garbage. I ordered new paintable ones and I'll paint and install them myself.... Has anyone taken that bumper apart?

The two chrome pieces are just covers for the bumper behind it, I'm pretty sure. If you take the bumper step off, then pop out the chrome cover clips they should come off. I was going to sand and paint my own on Sunday but didn't have all the necessary tools. So I'm gonna tear in to it this weekend and paint my grille bezel and bumper pieces at the same time.

Finally got around to changing the start up and off images on my black 16. Sith Lord, going to get stickers for the bed as well. I'm thinking Sith Lord Edition below the TRD OffRoad. What do you think?

There is a thread about it on here and it's in the Multimedia Manual.

In a nut shell A Usb stick name a folder StartUpImage and DisplayoffImage put a JPG image file in each then go to setting/general then scroll down to the one you want to change then a transfer button will be there.
