There is nothing that can compare to the gen 1 Tacoma reliability. I mean nothing. It was amazing.... But... These Tacoma's are not built in the same location, or the same design, or the motor, frame, etc.... Gen 2s have had their issues just like every other vehicle known to man. I expect gen 3 to be the same way. So if we take that into account, where does that leave us on reliability?

    None needed.
I know this may come as a complete shock to you friend so I'll be gentle. The Tundra doesn't come with a diesel and -keep this just between you and me- it beats the other trucks that do.

I wouldve been very interested in the diesel colorado but I won't even consider it since they don't offer a manual. Pretty ridiculous.

Right? Why in the hell are they testing a Sprinter? Lot of off roading going on in NYC with all those flower deliveries?

Are you saying the new Twins are not reliable? I'm just trying to put aside fan boyism and be objective in my assessments....

I dont mean to be a prick, but you were really tearing into him about the truck. He took a loss huge or not to save "his soul". The colorado/canyon before the redesign are known on many websites including the kelly bb resale guide for having horendous resale value. That might not be so with the 2016. I for one think it is too early too judge the twins or the tacoma for future resale. There are many vehicles that have good resale until a redesign then things may go either way. The civic is an example of this according to kelly blue book in their Review. The civic dropped almost 3.5% for resale after the redesign. Could happen to tacoma could happen to twins. Who knows!

And your post would be feasible if he had traded it in, in 2016... Or even 2012... Or even 2010... But he traded his 2 years after he bought it BRAND new.. Not even the Aztec lost 50% that quickly.

Sorry, not pushing the twins. Being realistic that toyota and GM have both put out great trucks. Pick which one you like best. I didn't know i have to be a complete tacoma fanboy to post things here.....

I get it, you love your tacoma and hate everything else even if there are facts/data/evidence out there about the other trucks that don't support your hate (i.e. you are a fanboy)

GM exceeds Toyota in certain areas. but yes, in off road, its tacoma all the way. But for the average person, there are several other trucks that would make much more sense.

by no means do they suck, its sad that some people cant give credit where credit is due. Do they come in second in off road capabilities? yes... but what about towing or MPG? The twins win that one easily.

And the resale value is not nearly as far off as people want to believe.

Gas Tacoma vs. gas Colorado? According to the gov't, both get 21mpg combined (V6). Towing is 6500/7000 respectively, and considering best-case towing calculations aren't standardized, I'd say the difference is irrelevant.

lol... love it, you do realize any "GM fanboy" is considered a redneck republican? Wouldn't that contradict that pic?... also love the fact I am throwing some support for a domestic vehicle, and you are 100% fanboi on a foreign made, but yet I am whats wrong with "Merica?....oh wait.. I am throwing logic in there once again..

anyway, I am not taking anything away from Tacomas, they are great trucks and have their place. but to say, its sucks because you say so. Is very ignorant.
