    Hi All,

I have the king 2.5 remote rears and an AAL currently in the back. Im looking at upgrading to the Dakars CS047R (removing the AAL) and keeping my Kings. Will i run into any issue with my current rear shocks and the Dakars? Extended they are 24.29", collapsed they are 15.83" for a travel of 8.46"

    Thanks

I guess what i really should have asked is what is the worst that could happen? I dont off road heavily. Mainly forest service roads to hunting and fishing locations. With the occasional off roading 1-2 times a year if that.

Should be fine, an AAL isn't going to make that big of a difference. Thats already a short shock for standard Dakars.

I just bought this set up, and I know Down South Motorsport has a specific rear shock for the Dakars. Give Micha a call and verify or to see if there is anything else you might need, longer bumpstops(?). If you're not wheeling it hard you'd probably be ok, but defiantly worth a call or message.

Those measurements are for Kings OE spec shocks. He will be fine.

I run a 10" travel shock on mine with Dakar packs w/ a 16" collapsed length. The shocks will become your limiting factor out back, some say you will need limit straps...but you will be fine without. I'd be more concerned with adding extended rear brake lines :D

I run hydro bumps...so little bit different.

Few folks I know running similar length shocks have spaced their bumps a bit. It really depends on what bumps you have installed, U bolt flip etc. Only way to know for sure is cycle your suspension!
