    Agreed. I specialize in Spine and Orthopedic/Medical Device. I am in surgery and see patients that did not address this. I know its tuff but there is a way. The condidition you are in now is the best you will ever be. It will only become worse and lead to disability/ major reconstructive surgeries later. I see this all the time.

    Coming from a good place- I only want the best for all. Get healthy first, worry about the medical bills later.

    When you get Dr. bills, you can pay whatever you can afford to pay each month. They cannot do much as long as you pay something each month. They can't even hurt your credit. Just set up a payment plan and pay what you can. You can also negotiate them down most of the time.

    I've received a massive doctor bill for a cat scan (with insurance). Negotiated with the hospital who asked for income and all that, my 13k bill was reduced down to somewhere between 2-3k, been making small monthly payments and nothing reported on my credit report. If you dont pay a medical bill in SC, they can take your state refund... Make those arrangements and make things easier on yourself.
