If the shocks have not been abused, bilstein says they will warranty them.

What are you talking about..? If the shock goes bad, you get a free one. No $200.

The bilstein shock will take some abuse not doubt, that's why they offer a lifetime warranty. But you can typically tell if the shock has been abused by just looking at it.
Typically you go through whoever you purchased the shocks through for warranty.

I'm currently running SAW's 2.5 and they ride amazing compared to my Stock TRD, then to the 5100's. I thought I'd keep them for a very long time and not look back. However I just scored a killer deal on a set of KINGS w/Resi and off with the SAWs!

IMHO, Saws are amazing for the price you'd pay for them.

Just a thought, the toytec C/Os arent technecally true coil overs. The shop down the street "warned" me of similar types of setups which rely on set screws and snap ring to hold things together.

The SAWs are true coil overs and the threads are on the actual body of the shock. the shaft where the shock mounts looks tougher as well.

Dont get me wrong Toytecs look like theyd be fine for light to moderate off-roading (realtive). As far as the issues with the spanner wrenches go buy a good one that wont bend.

I vote SAW 2.5s they seem more capable if you need the full capability, not just lift

Hey guys, what is the main benefit from 2" SAW's to 2.5"'s? Is there more travel or something? I know the reservoir contains more everything. And are they better than Camburg 2.5's? I see they are cheaper.
Thanks a lot, didn't want to start another thread for nothing. ;)

Actually, they ARE "true Coil overs" as the COIL is OVER the shock. Thats what a "Coil Over" is. The OEM set up is a "Coilover", as is anything that replaces it.....Other than a SAC.

2.5's have a main body diameter of 2.5" as opposed to a 2.0. They hold more oil, and resist fade better.

    SAWs are mo' better.

I have Camburg 2.5 which is basically SAW. They are awesome. They use an Eibach spring at 650lbs

can anybody comment on the coating of the threaded collars of either of these coilovers? I know there were some people who complained about rusting on the SAWs at some point in time. Are people having the same problems with the Toytec's? I'd be interested to hear from people who have them in areas that salt during the winter.

i think they are all the same with the exception of icon. icon offers a coating that prevents rust, but it's like $100 bucks more and you might have to buy them direct from icon to get it

No, I have the 5100 with OME 886 coils on there now and I was just wondering if the above mentioned would give more down/up travel then my current setup. I may need to just get the larger uni-ball UCA's I don't know.

to get the most travel with out going LT is to have ext travel CO's (icon, fox etc...) and the UCA's you have right now. that will make the best use of the uniball joint
