Is it really that much to register a truck? I haven't had to pay the registration on my truck yet so I have no clue. If so, anyone want to let me borrow a RTT? haha

    Thanks!

Yeah, we were getting serious about going for #2, so that's why the Tundra got pushed to the front burner. The 4runner was fine for 1 kid, but the backseat was useless with 2 car seats in it. Now my wife could be back there with both kids and be comfortable.
Thanks, it's crazy how fast they grow. My daughter is going to be 6 this year, scary.

The spacers pushed the tires right to the fender edge, perfect IMO. Also I removed some items from my Methods, @LTDSC is going to ban me from the Method fanboy club for good now.

It rubbed off when I was mounting the one wheel. Problem is with the bronze derp you have to do light coats to keep it dark like I want it, but that also will make it super easy to scratch. I'm just going to leave them till I can afford some SCS wheels. They are much better without the center caps and bolts, but I'm not a fan of all the holes.

Yeah they stuck out way too much on mine, but I didn't want to mess them up for resale, so I took them off.

How much is it normally to register your truck in Cali vs a "station wagon"? I'm still on my IL plates but I don't see myself having those forever. I wonder if this would apply to a camper shell with a bed box?!

You can get it exempt, with the shell. Its a pain in the ass as mist of the DMV clerks are lazy as fuck. But if you do it right they have no choice to do it. I know a few women that got there's exempt.
I don't no why Tacoma's are commercial, its kinda lame.

With the popup camper, I'm gonna try to get the Tacoma registered as an RV. Not for the registration discount, but so I can join the "Good Sam's Club". Talking about the good old days with a geriatric crew, around a portable propane fire pit, next to a class A land yacht, at a local KOA- that's the life for me...

For now, it's dry camping in Death Valley. Truck is packed and picked this up at Goodwill to leave at Teakettle Junction.

If you live in California, it's easy enough to get the truck registered as "non-commercial". Personally, I figure I pay, I park in yellow. But get ready to get cornholed again-Gov Jerry says he wants $65 for each registered vehicle for "infrastructure".

Did we break a rule ? I'm not sure why political garbage would cause that. New subject, please. I'll take sports for $500.

Political conversation, no matter how much we all agree or disagree on the subject, is exceedingly frowned upon (and against the CoC). Given both Bob and Scene were both in here yesterday, probably not be the most opportune time to sneak something in.
