Ride height always affects camber, which directly affects toe.

My caster/camber was in spec after my 2" lift but it doesnt mean it was "good" My toe was out equally, so my steering was straight-ish but would have resulted in tire wear.

I always max caster on any lift and add a touch of camber if possible. Oversized tires means high toe in as well.

I personally think that even wider tires should be cause for an alignment. Anything that affects geometry.

    Bishop84,
you have a 2" lift. Do you have your post alignment numbers? Do you have UCA's installed? Just wondering how much caster you got if you have stock UCA's. I've got my lift already, but I don't want to get the work done without installing UCA'S if I'm going to need them.

Btw, I'm going 1.75 on 5100's and a 1" block in the rear. Anyone who has this lift with post alignment numbers, I would appreciate your input.

Any body done 5100 left at 0, with 887 coil overs and 2 inch aal on your 2016 ? If so did you replace the uca's? at this point I'm debating with my self between using 885 or 887's. want to have a nice level stance with the aal in the back./

I installed this on another members truck over the weekend. 5100's set at the lowest setting with 887's and Icon tubular UCA's. I threw my angle finder on the bed when it was finished and there was less than a degree of rake, so pretty dang level! Single deaver AAL in the back BTW

Yes 885 being a little shorter. 885 get about 2.5 inch vs 887 getting closer to 3. Theses are by Gen 2 standards so what I've been told the height results are not exactly the same.

Thanks Jerry I'm thinking this will give me the best "affordable" setup for the best ride.

I've installed this kit as well as the 5100's with the toytec springs. The toytec springs had a bit of a softer ride but the 887's weren't bad at all.. Both really great, affordable kits.

edit: make sure to add the 1/4 top plate spacer for the driver side.

I've been looking at this thread as I'm hoping to put some method wheels 16" I think on my 16 trd offroad dblcb and wanted a suspension lift but the dealer says it will void my warranty unless they have their subcontractor install it at a cost of $7000 for their lift and labor. Not happy. Now wondering about just trying to level the truck.

I agree but what about the voiding the warranty..? I can install a lift myself but thinking maybe I should wait.

The only thing the lift is going to void is the warranty on the suspension parts. If a dealer tells you otherwise, they are absolutely full of shit. Now, having said that, some dealers are going to blame any failures on the lift, however they have to PROVE beyond a shadow of a doubt that the aftermarket parts caused the failure.. So the burden of proof is on them, and 99% of the time, they can't or wont be able to prove anything.

No problem. If I can make a recommendation.... Build a relationship with one of the service advisors at your dealership. Call him every time you have an issue and make sure to always schedule appointments with the same advisor. I have used the same advisor on my last two and current Tacoma. Anytime I have had an issue, my advisor always goes to bat for me, and NEVER uses my lift or aftermarket accessories as a cop out to avoid warranty. That said, if my wheel bearing goes bad, it'd be hard pressed to get something like that covered under warranty.

    Jerry,

You seem to be very knowledgeable. I am looking for a full 3" lift kit using 5100's and 5106 in the rear with AAL. What is the largest size tire (height and width) I can run with using factory 17" rims? without rubbing

    Thanks
