Ahh, ok...I'm pretty sure because these are it. They have an orange rubber gasket at the base of the bulb where you twist it into the headlight assembly hole. It's a real nice tight fitting seal that I noticed while twisting it into place. Feels really snug.

Someone should add a poll to this thread, option a ( bounce)
    Option b ( no bounce)

Also i think alot of people mentioned the 4500 bulbs dont bounce.

Okay, I'll roll on that. Thanks for the feedback.

Are there any special instructions for ordering the non-bouncies?

YouTube Video now online detailing the 2 issues I have with this headlight system.

    https://youtu.be/722RAZ8tBY8

As you can see in the first part there is no way for me to listen to the radio at night with the headlights on.

In the second part of the video (taken on Main Street) watch directly in front of the truck in the middle while the headlights bounce away. Trust me when I say its much more pronounced in person than it is in the video.

I'm driving between 20-25 miles an hour.

After sending me some EMI Reducers (first ones were wrong, second ones when plugged into my headlights made the headlights not work at all) I was told "Yes, these reducers cannot work with the 23,000V that the igniter produces".

    Why were they sent?

"The Retrofit Source" solution was "If you wish to try the Toyota Denso ballasts, that's certainly another option for you. The AMP-converted Denso ballasts by themselves are $200, whereas the Morimotos outright are $110, so it would be normally a $90 upgrade plus a $100 fee to waterproof them if you wished to have that done. I am willing to knock off half of this upgrade cost, so $45 to go to Densos upon receiving yours back, and $50 more if you did wish to waterproof them."

My companies solution would have been to send out FOR FREE whatever it took to fix the problem. Their's was for me to spend more money on top of the original $150.

Took me a week or two at most to get the time to install the system, and weeks of going back and forth with them waiting for a fix, only to be told "We unfortunately cannot physically process a refund after 45 days of the order, so we would have to pursue other options."

    Nice.

I Love the light that the headlights produce, but I also like being able to listen to my radio.

Google "Morimoto Radio Static" to get pages of results of people with the same problem on other forums.

BUT I guess I am the only one experiencing it with the Tacoma.

In that case you would have thought I might have gotten a defective system, and the solution of sending me a new system, to swap out mine, would have been proposed. That never happened.

My little bit of talking in the radio part, is me talking to my buddy whose camera we used.

Those orange gaskets shown in the previous couple of posts, appear to be the exact same gaskets that are on the headlights I was sent.

Anyone mentioning that they do not experience any bounce or shake, please install a GoPro camera in the windshield mount, and find a road like the one I am driving on in the video, and please post your results.

Now this is my personal opinion, (so don't take it personal yourself) but I feel there is no one that has these headlights (5500K bulbs) with the same gaskets as mine (why would you have other ones?) that would go down the road that is in my video and not experience the headlights bouncing all over the place. Roads like the one in the video are all around where I live.

After spending hours installing the system, spending two or three hours conversing via email back and forth with "The Retrofit Source" (trying to find a solution - see their final responses above) and the hours now spent having to create my account on here and detailing my experience (and creating a YouTube account to post the video) I was finally sent today (after my previous posts here were read by The Retrofit Source) a return label, so that I can mail the system back for a refund.

Good customer service should have never come to this. The solution up front should have been that we will fix it, whatever it takes, (swap out the complete system, or send parts that would fix it) and then if there was no solution, we will gladly take it back for a complete refund.

I should have never had to waste so much of my time on these issues to finally get to this outcome.

Now to go waste some more time this weekend uninstalling everything, oh the joy.

Hopefully now I can just go back to Lurking on here.

    Thanks

I was about to buy until I read this..

    Audio issues now?

I think we need some polling to really figure out what percentage of buyers are having issues.

For everyone who's having issues, I feel your pain, however you need to take it easy on the vendor since it doesn't seem like they've had allot of time to fully test their product on this new truck. Face it, you buy in early your simply in the beta stage. So long as the vendor is giving support during this phase everyone should remain patient.

I'm going to ask the obvious, but have you double-checked that your setup was grounded properly? Have you tried relocating the components to see if it made any difference? Yes, I do see the Google results and it seems that it's either RF interference or grounding issues.

Personally, I hate public radio, so this doesn't really deter me from the purchase.

Well i would imagine that all the people in the group buy and more, would have reported the radio issue as i see that as a big problem. I doubt you are the only person that listens to radio with their headlights on.

Well then I must have received a defective set (which as I already mentioned in my post, might be the case), not a problem, send me another set and I'd be more than happy to swap it out.

That option was never given to me.

Should I just live with radio static with the headlights on?

Let me make it clear as I know my posts are much to long to read for most peoples attention spam (not saying you).

    I like the lights.

It's the solutions and lack of solutions to fix these issues that are the issue here.

    Thanks

The fog bulbs are just a bit below the headlight bulbs, and same type as the headlight bulbs, it's easier to access from the top.

Tried these solutions, but thank you for bringing them up.

Trust me I'm all ears on how to fix these issues (I know they are working on the shake one) as I drilled holes in my inner fender wells to do a nice clean install.

Would rather much keep them there, if I could hear the radio.

    Thanks

So I hooked up the GoPro bout an hour ago and uploaded this video....radio works, and subtle 'bounce' or 'jitters'
