Jesus, I hate cheap rifle optics. Last weekend my month old Vortex 1-4x went tits up. It is on an AR15 in 300 BLK, probably 300 rounds under the scope is all. The windage knob spins freely, no clicks, nor movement of the reticle. I did some research before buying, thought these Vortex scopes were supposed to be good stuff? Should have stuck to Nightforce or Leupold which have never let me down..... rant mode off

Building the uniball in the lower? Or still using an adapter like Solo? If you put the uniball in the lower then it effectively raises the lower arm in relation to the spindle, which makes the shock bump sooner and may cause clearance issues with 4wd. Believe me I have been wanting to do this for awhile lol, good to see someone trying it

Well if you rotate the uniball to be horizontal, instead of vertical, you have to build a separate adapter into the LCA so it bolts up in a strong manner. Still while having the uniball a separate piece that will bolt to the spindle on one side and the LCA on the other. Make sense?

Then the CV will be the limiting factor. So down the line a little further. Building an upper and lower arm that's extended so we can utilize a Tundra CV will net even more travel, yet the CV will still be the limiting factor, not the uniball. But a Tundra CV has about 16 inches of travel compared to a stock off the shelf kit at 13". Possibilities are endless.

I drive the wife's car to work since I live 30 miles away and wanna save the truck from all the miles. Seems once a week she manages to find a way to screw something up in the truck between drives to the mail box and grocery store. Baffles me how she does it.

Well today the truck is throwing a check engine light and trac light. She also mentioned it will not go on cruise control (Im guessing this is because traction control is off?). I am going to go through typical initial trouble shooting protocol with the check engine light when I get home (disconnect battery, check gas cap, inspect MAF, clean MAF if need be, etc, etc.).

Edit: I just got an oil change 100 miles ago and went from conventional to synthetic, I cant imagine that would cause the problem but doesnt seem too far out of the realm of possibilities

I am just wondering if anyone has run into this problem before and what the outcome was. My OBD2 scanner took a shit just last week, so looks like Ill be driving it to Orielly after I make sure I won't cause much more damage.

Women, cant live with them and you can't live with out them :frusty::bananadead::argue::sadviolin::rain:
