That is looking good! So, you are doing the 1.75 on the front Bilsteins? What are you doing on the back? Blocks, add a leaf, etc?

What kinda tire/wheel setup you gonna go with? That does get the front up a bit.

I just got new tires from stock 265x65x17 to +1 of 265x70x17 BFG AT KO2.. there is serious rub. I am doing bilstein 5100 in the front on friday. Hopefully .85 will be enough. I'm not doing anything to the back yet.

Surprising you are rubbing, is it possible that your alignment is not set properly?

I had my 265/70/17 tires put on the day before I had my 5100s installed. I didn't have any rubbing before my 5100 install. Currently I have mine set at .85 and still no rubbing. I could have gone to a 275/70/17 and still be rub free.

I don't think so since I haven't lifted it yet. But I do have spidertrax spacers on them as well.

I'm far from an expert in anything mechanical, however reading enough on here tells me something isnt set up right. Could be the spacers, but dont take my word on that. I've seen many people posting on here running that set up without issues.

Its the spacers, they push your tire out more and increase the turn radius of the tires s

Thanks! Took the spacers off and no rub! Do you think .85 lift will cure the rub with spacers?

It might, do you want the spacers just for the look of the tires out of the wheel well? You don't need them with a lift or stock and those tires

Fair enough, plenty of mods done just for that reason. Guess you can let us all know how it works out!

Hmmmm, so you're in a "it's OK to have the tires outside of the well" state?

Does anybody have a part number of the billets 5100s that are specific for the 16 tacoma?

    Is it
    Front: 24-239370
    Rear: 24-186728 ?

Found this at another thread. hope somebody can confirm.

Also does the billets 5100s really improve the ride and handling of the truck? or is it just looks?

Doubtful. Do you have the cab mount chopped? I rubbed with 285/75/16 with cab mount chopped and spacers. Pinch weld folded back as well. Anything that increases that turn radius is going to cause you to rub. You'd probably need a good amount of lift to clear that. Throw your spacers on, turn wheel until it rubs, see how much tire is left on the way up that will rub.

Also, think of it like this, no amount of lift is going to fix your rubbing when you stuff the tire. So the best way to clear rubbing is to cut back what it's rubbing on.

So question for you guys on alignment. I'm really considering getting the 5100's to put on my stock coils. So, say I put the 5100's on the 3rd setting, which seems like it would get 1.75ish inch of lift in the front with stock coils... will I be able to get my alignment back in spec in regards to caster and camber? I know the limitations of the stock UCA from how many 4Runners I've lifted.

From what I've read I should be looking for alignment specs that put camber and toe at 0, and caster at 2.5. Is that correct if I am for just under 2 inches of lift? Are the stock UCA capable of that with a mere 1.5-2 extra inches?
