Very nice...I have a couple of years before I get an off road bumper for the front. However, my stock reservoir is all cracked on top.

My bumpers are still stock, but I also had a cracked reservoir.

I would buy it from your local exhaust shop, and try it for a couple of days. I went with the flowmaster super 44 and love the sound. You can try flowmaster.

You are correct sir, 4 x innovations indeed. I picked them up from Charles2004 through the 1st gen buy, sell, trade page a few weeks ago, and got a referral from CoTacoTRD for D & C Extreme Industries in Co. Springs. Dropped everything off for powder coating this afternoon, and should be installing by the end of next week!

I really like that ignition ring. For some reason, it looks really familiar. Since mine's an '04, I wouldn't have it. Perhaps my last car had it?

Stock with green? Definitely an unusual decision. Stock is usually a lot more neutral colored. Hell, even orange isn't common (at least not that I've seen).

Maybe some day, long in the future, I will change them. It'd add a sense of newness to the truck once it's gotten "old" to me.

Got some flexy flares. Only had time to get one on. 33x10.5s with 1.25" spacers. Flares are 2.5" heavy duty.

I seriously considered rattle can, but it's the wrong time of year for that in Colorado. If I still had access to a heated work space I'd have gone that route. That said the paint wouldn't cure properly below 50 degrees. So long story short they were in the truck and the powder coater quoted a decent price.

Just ask the powdercoater to do a color that's easy to match with a spray can, cause you WILL scratch them

Oh I didn't mean old as in not interesting, but rather after I've gotten used to it. I've only had my truck 2 months, so it's all still pretty new to me. Eventually, I'll be settled into it and know it well. When that happens, a change like the lights will make it have that sense of newness that it has now.

I picked up a can of rustoleum on my way to drop the steel off. He also has rattle can touch up paint to match all of his colors. I went with a 10% gloss black (more or less matt black)

I figured I'd grab a can of that, and when they get too beat up I can always recoat them with bed liner or bumper and trim paint.

I know what you mean. There's always a project on our trucks. But the new dash looks great I'm sure you won't get tired of seeing a different color than stock

Only normies never have any plans for their vehicle. I couldn't imagine just wanting an a->b appliance. Part of the fun in vehicle ownership is doing something to it!
For now, I will love the truck in its mostly stock form. As for dash illumination, it'd be interesting to be able to switch the colors via a dial or switch. But as someone who knows very little about how the dash is set up inside, I'm not sure it's feasible.

That's true even though it's hard work sometimes. But it worth being different, and you can always search it up on here. There's a lot of info on here from the stuff I did to my truck.
