Lol, just the one gun. I won an aimpoint t2 and a plate and carrier. But I've paid out $300 or more on raffles. I don't care to look at how much I've spent. It may make me upset.

Last year I bought two tickets for a gun bash (it's basically a raffle but you go there and eat and drink for free) because I'll normally see if one of my brothers or friends wants to go...and I'll put my name on both tickets. If not I have double the chances of winning.

Well, my name was called but it was the ticket that I got for my friend lol, was kinda mad about it.

Nobodies disputing it's wellness to hold his own in the gun world. I was merely given the guy an FYI if he wasn't aware, that its not your normal operating system that most people are familiar with, and to make sure he made himself familiar with it before tearing into it. Obviously, I own them in order to know that much about them. If I didn't like them I wouldn't of owned them. Just adding my two cents

Just purchased the beginnings of what will probably be my most difficult project to date - a flintlock rifle. I'll post pics once parts start rolling in. Can't wait. I hope I can find time to work on it weekends between now & Spring.

    Anyone built a flintlock before??

Yes, but it was just one of the Traditions 50 caliber kits, one of those where all of the parts are included so you just need sand, stain, and varnish the stock and bolt it all together. Similar to this but with a blued barrel:
    https://www.traditionsfirearms.com/product/Frontier-Rifle-Kit-.50-cal-Flintock

Built it as a 'winter project' for shop class back in high school (junior year, maybe?). I only shot it a few times before I traded it to a buddy of mine for a Remington 870 20ga, and lost track of it from there.

I've been tempted to do another one lately, but if I do I'll probably use a higher-grade kit. Some of the fit & finish in the Traditions kit wasn't great. Of course, this was nearly 15 years ago now, so it may have improved. :notsure:

what is the legality of a can? Is it federally regulated, or on the state level?

It falls under the NFA, so $200 tax on top of cost. In addition to that, some states have their own regulations as well (you can guess which ones).
