It was back in 1976 after getting my lower spine fused. It was in for about a week, and buddy all remember at the age of 15 was that it hurt really bad. The pain was brutal!!!!!

no more lotto for me. The wife and i spent about 30 bucks the last few weeks on that thing. Most we have spent in 30 years combined. That 30 bucks would be a nice little dinner at pad thai's

My proudest moment was when they put it in. I heard the nurse say "It's not big enough".....Of course, being a male, I immediately want to take claim for it not being LONG enough! My wife, being my wife, had to explain to me so that everyone in the room understood, it wasn't big enough diameter wise....so they could put a scope through it.

I've been doing the self cath thing for about 11 days now. First time sends chills up your spine. 2nd time was a little better. By the 3rd time, nothin' to it! The trick is to relax.

I start the prep in less that 2 hours for what I hope will be the end of this chapter of my life. Procedure starts @ 11:30. Like Larry the Cable Guy says, "Git-er-done".

No nightmares here....That was eliminated from all possibility by not being able to sleep. Just a bit anxious about what is about to happen.

Oh well....In a few days, I'll be joking about all of it.

I heard a report that you could buy every combination of numbers for around $550 million. As long as no one else won you could make a $400 million profit. But if I had the $550 million to start with, I would be on a different forum.

Maybe 55 of us on the 50+ could've thrown in $10 million each to buy all the number combinations.
Naw, I'd have to pull out... i'm a little short right now. Christmas expenses killed me.

Good morning, 20 degrees out now and supposed to get up to 31 today! Didn't even have to zip up the jacket when I took the dogs outside this morning!

Good luck today and hope everything turns out well for you!

Hmmm could use the same technique as my Ex wife did to me for 25 years. Her favorite saying was well I still had checks in the checkbook so I thought it was OK to write the check....

Well, guess who's doing WAY better than expected! In the words of my urologist, it went "textbook perfect". So well, they didn't need to leave the surgical catheter in. I may need to use a cath if there's much swelling over the next few days, but it appears as if that won't be the case. Fair amount of bleeding, and pain about a 4 or 5, but I can live with that. I was sent home with a bottle of hydrocodone, a handful of single use catheters just in case, and a big smile on my face! The doctor didn't have any more appointments for the day, so he sat with me a couple hours and watched my progress. Once he was convinced there was no reason to keep me overnight, he personally walked the paperwork through to get me out of the hospital. I go back in a week if things go well, then get cleared to go back to work (with some restrictions) The doctor said I won my own lotto....He's been in practice for 20+ years and said this is without question the best case he's ever seen.

It wasn't exactly a walk in the park. Having a laser cutting on the prostate feels like a red hot poker while it's being done. But once I heal up, this issue should be in the rear view mirror!

I feel extremely blessed! I want to thank all of you guys for all the thoughts, prayers, and positive karma. It sure is good to be able to sleep in my own bed tonight.
