It is a good fridge, I remember hearing about them on expo couple years ago when they were in the $450 range shipped. All the reviews have been nothing but positive. I ended up getting a good deal on an ARB 50qt and has been running non stop for a year so far no issues. There are some differences between the two cosmetically/functionally but not sure it's worth the price ARB commands.

    ***Yet another update***

With a little more research due to another post on this thread, I have found that Indel-B insulated protection jackets are available here in the US for just under $106 + p&h. The slide mount is cheaper through TruckFridge though at almost 50% less than on ironman4x4america.

How hard is it to move these around? I'd love one for the truck for road trips, but might need to move it inside once we get to where we are going.

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
I've been giving hard thought to the Whynter Dual-Zone, but if this gets down around the $450 mark, I'll give it some serious consideration. In fact, I'm in if it dips below $450.

I have an older Indel-B upright fridge for when I was driving OTR. Fit a Freightliner Centruy Class. The thing was *silent*, and kept things as cold as if it were a big household fridge. Drew very little power. Great quality!

The fridge itself weighs about 40 pounds. It depends how much you load it up. It does come with a removeable basket though so you can move your food items and then the fridge.

Most people running a fridge have a deep cycle auxilliary battery hooked up to the fridge. It's ideal to have that auxilliary battery charge off the alternator and/or solar. You can power it fine with the truck running in any of your stock 12v outlets but I wouldn't let it sit for a while with the truck off just hooked up to your starter battery. A starter battery is designed for a high amps output over a short period of time. This fridge will draw low amps over a prolonged period of time. This isn't healthy for your starter battery and you have the potential of killing it and finding yourself scrambling looking for a jump start.

These things have 3 different power cutoff settings. High is 11.7v and medium is 10.7v. Can't remember what the low setting is. So worst case scenario your battery could go down to 11.7v if you have that set.

I forgot about the low voltage cutoff, that is a nice feature.

One night, sure, not much of a problem. But if you use it like that for one night again and again
you will significantly reduce the life span of your starter battery.

I wouldn't let the power consumption be the deciding factor on whether or not you get one. 11.7v is not very low at all for a starter battery. Doing that a few days in a row couldn't effect the battery that much could it?

OK so there are those much smarter then me when it comes to batteries and draw. How would I fair this fridge and a Group 31m battery which is what I am running now instead of dual batteries.
