I ground down the flange on the frame horns so the bar would sit flat at the height I wanted it. Then I used some metal tabs from the hardware store as the mounts. This light bar was the exact length of the outside edge of the framerails which made it easy. The hardest part was drilling through the hard steel of the frame.

    Awesome.

I love the red of the gauge cluster too. Have all the bulbs sitting on my work bench.... just waiting to be installed.

Looks very good, I've thought about buying Flecy Flares but never have gotten around to it. May bump it up on the list now.

This was so easy to do, I don't know why I waited so long to do it. I had the dealer do it maybe 50k miles ago, but the can of MAF cleaner I got said to do it every air filter change!

Oh for sure. I know a lot of work is above my skill level, but I am willing to learn and try. I do nearly all of my own work and I always learn what to do by reading articles/forum posts and watching videos. And then actually looking at my vehicle to see how it's laid out. Most jobs are a pain, and lack of good tools always makes it harder, but the results are almost always worth the work. And the experience/skills you gain are priceless.

This site has already been invaluable to me. Even when it came to learning the trucks before buying one. Sources like these are wonderful.

I always push for people to start learning basics about cars, and learning to do simple things like change a tire, oil change, check brakes, etc...It saves money and it gives the satisfaction of independence & self sufficiency.

I've always liked Mag Light mounting. I might end up doing that some day.

Changing the dash lights was one of my favorite interior mods to my truck. Something you can enjoy every time you drive it.

Seems like you are well on your way. Now we just gotta take you wheelin and get you really hooked.

I wish I didn't get the brightest led strips. But they are on a 3 pos switch so it helps

SO, I have officially made it into the light bar crowd, and am planning to remove the bull bar (yay) and mount my PIAA lights on the wiper cowl. Is CBI the only manufacturer of those brackets? Do any of the TW fab guys make em?
