I need some input on what lift to get. I want 3" and budget is around $1000. I probably won't do too much rock crawling at all but more like trails and stuff like that. I've looked at the ultimate lift, OME, and adjustable on toytec. I just don't know ha. Any help would be awesome! Also what are some good wheels to along with tires?

I'd recommend a full OME kit with Light Racings UCAs, but it runs at about $1,500. It includes full rear leaves, which I highly recommend for your 7-year old suspension. It may be tempting to go with AAL, but they MIGHT last a few thousand miles before they droop and you have to replace them with full packs anyways. Trust me, I've been there.

    This one here: http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/ome-lift-kits-tacoma-05-6-lug.html

@HeadStrong Off-Road is going to be able to give you the best prices, IMHO. Check their site out, and they're also very responsive with specific questions.

I'm no tire aficionado, so I'll let someone else chime in on that.

Have you looked at the Toytec Boss kit? The shocks are built to Toytec specs specific to the Tacoma.

I have the Toytec 3/1 Ultimate Bilstein lift kit on my 2012 Tundra RW and am very happy with it. The Boss kit rides a little smoother.

I'm sure they can let you buy things one by one, but I don't recommend it. You're changing the entire dynamic of the truck that's designed to go on at once.

I'd recommend just saving up and buying it all at once. Or, if you have to buy piece-meal, saving all the parts until you have the whole kit.

Is 3" a magic number or something? You don't really gain much clearance after 2" without getting taller tires and a lot of trimming/cutting. Then your budget goes all to hell as it never stops after that
