    My truck stays outside too, i only put it in there to work on it. To be honest i dont even think it will fit anymore with the rtt.

    I kno they refer to your garage as a two-car but it really isn't that big except for how tall the opening is. Not very long or wide.

    Yeah, finally!

    Are you asking where will I put the 2nd one? In the bed. No room under the hood. The controller will be an ML-ACR.

    Yeah, if it isn't leaking more, you may be Ok. :notsure:

    IIRC, the seal on the passenger side can be pushed in to far when its replaced.

    You should be able to feel it when the axle is not in there. When you replace, try not to have it in any deeper than what the stock one is now.

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    It ain't fun, I did both on my truck, but I did it at the same time as tie rods and LBJs so I took the whole spindle off the truck and used a c-clamp style ball joint press from Autozone (I broke one of the cups you force the joint into but it still worked). You just won't be able to get enough leverage without the spindle off the truck, maybe a 650+lb impact would let you crank it in though.

    Just don't press em in too far and you'll be fine. You'll need a big ass socket or at some sort of round tap that fits around it to tap it in evenly. Then use the axle to push it where it needs to go. So get it set in there a little ways and then just put the axle in gently.

    Really? after timmy said it was useless and didn't work?

    I don't remember Mr Tim saying that, but it doesn't matter. I already have one. It is one of those things a collected along the way. :oops:

    Besides, there are lots of people using that controller. It must not be a problem for them.

    Do you have more information on what his issues were? If you have more on this or advice, I'd like to hear details.

    Yeah, not sure either. Seems kinda rash to say they don't work tho. There are a ton of folks on here using one of these for their dual battery controller.

    Maybe his definition of automatic is different from what this unit does. There is supposedly a lot of functionality packed into one of these things.

    I do know that one thing it doesn't do is have an in-cab status indicator/monitor readout. You know, those two rows of colored lights that go from red to yellow to green.

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.
    Yea don't need that. But to me by automatic that means it still monitors the starter battery and kicks off the aux battery when the start is low so the starter will charge. Then flip back to the aux when the starter is done charging.

    If it doesn't do that. Not worth it
