What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

look before you ask the same damn question thats been posed only probably 3 dozen times. Your answer was probably a page back. Noobs are killing me on here

Decided to throw on a Flowmaster muffler I had lying around to see how the new 3.5 would sound. I was worried it would sound like a ricer, but it actually has a nice low growl, especially at the lower RPMs. By no means a V8 sound, but not bad. I will still likely plan on putting the TRD cat back once released, but this was a quick and inexpensive swap (having a muffler shop connection helps). I know lots of folks are against exhaust mods on Taco's but I figured I would be a test pilot for anyone considering it.

Dechromed. Bought some GooGone from Oreilly, got my waxed dental floss and went at it. That glue was a biech, took about 2 hours to remove the Tacoma sides and V6 rear off. Happy with the result.

 

Did you let the truck sit out in the hot AZ sun for a while to loosen up the glue a bit ?

Anyone bolted one of these onto the back of the center console in a double cab? looks kinda trick and I dig how the dogs water bowl wont kill it when it gets spilled.

Yup. Got that exact one in my center console.

 

$675 seems steep. I'll stick with a muffler at that price lol

How did you wire this? Did you document the install process by any chance? Looks great

 

How's the fit? I'm hoping there's enough depth and height to get it in. Got any pics of your install and some direction on where/how you wired it? I'd sure appreciate the help.
