Cleaned the truck up and used a whole bottle of degreaser on the frame so I could fluid film the underside. Pretty neat stuff, little messy crawling under the truck spraying that stuff but it's done. Went to fix my flares come to find out I'm missing a couple of the mounting points so I said fuck it and just removed the clips so it atleast looks halfway decent for now. I'm not sure if I should just go ahead and bolt through them now since using clips again will probably never happen

Oh and got all that shit off my roof

Fluid film, advanced auto sells it but was hard to come by for me. I used 3 cans but bought 4, which was all that the 2 stores had combined. I soaked the shit out of anything and everything

I think that and just way easy to clean when it gets dirty. Good for the suspension components, especially for people that drive in winter climates.

Yup, it puts a layer of wax over whatever you spray. Use it on just about anything that you want to prevent corrosion

It's pretty good to go if they salt the roads where you live or being around salt water

When cleaning off your coilovers and uca's do you just spray them off with water? I got mud/dirt on mine and just want to get it off so they don't rust...

Unfortunately my springs have already rusted and discoloration on the shock body, pretty sad for just over a year. I usually just wash them at the carwash and spray them down with wd40 when they dry

That's pretty crappy. I've had my Icons for about 3 years now and mine still look fairly well. I haven't seen any discoloration or rust on them and the last 2 winters I've been in Oklahoma where they use a ton of salt on the road. I've never sprayed mine with wd40 or any other lubricant.

Well one is worse than the other iirc and the adjustment holes on the collars also have elongated in certain places, while the collars have never been difficult to actually move just a really soft material. I emailed Icon in the past to see if either were covered by warranty but no response

That's crazy man. I don't think my collars have done that and I've had to adjust them a few times. I'll try to get a picture here in a few. When adjusting the collar do you take the little Allen key out?
