Getting awful defensive over there boss. I never said it was cool I just enjoy destroying things hence why my truck looks like it does.

Not defensive. My truck suits my needs. I get paid to destroy and fabricate for a living.

Those 265's look great on your truck man!

I keep going back to pics Ive seen of the TRD Pro's with the beadlock wheels running 265/70 tires and they look great on them!
    The Pro's only have about a 1.75" -2 " lift correct?

AFe Rebel Catback Exhaust, AFe GT Momentum Air Intake, Method Wheels, Bilstein 5100, Rigid 30" SR2 Light Bar, Rigid 10" SR Light Bar. Lots of Love
    3 reasons to do it.

    1. 265s will give you more mpg at least a little more.

    2. 265s don't require any cutting, trimming to make them fit.

    3. 265s cost way less.

Thanks, I believe the pros come with 265/75 bfg a/t. And yes I think it's about a 2" lift.

Baja's and Pros came with 265/70/16 BFG KO's (30.7" diameter). Lift is advertised as 1.75 inches. Mine is closer to 2" as compared to a standard '13 OR. I'm going with 265/75/16 BFG KO2's (31.7" diameter) when the time comes. My buddy did a full 3" OME/Dakar lift and 33's, and had to cut front and back and remove his flaps - all for an inch more ground clearence over the same truck on 32's. Not worth it to me either. Also...

If you are happy with your tires OP, why not transfer them over? You will never get good value out of selling used tires from what I have seen. You bought 285's so i am going to assume you expected to trim anyway...

I actually bought the truck with the tires and lift already on. It doesn't look like the previous owner did any trimming. The fender lining is still there and the fender looks factory. No mud flaps though.
I eventually plan to do Fox coilovers up front for a 3" lift.

Might rub under compression, but be fine on the street. There was a post in a Baja thread where somebody put 285's on the factory fake bead-locks with no other mods and it didn't rub. Not sure that it would be okay wheeling, but there you go.

My buddy's truck is a '13 DCSB SR5 with factory steel wheels, and it rubbed on the street.

Pretty amazing if your tires are clearing everything! You must have the perfect backspacing on those wheels. how well is the truck tracking?
In the end it all comes down to personal preference i suppose. A true 3" lift will usually make a 31.7" tire look pretty small. Especially if it has a relatively rounded shoulder block. A 2-2.5" lift not so much from what i have seen. Keep a square shouldered tire if you drop a size
