I think I'm aiming for this same lift when my truck arrives. What size tires you going with? I believe I'm gonna do 265/70/17 as I don't like tires to look packed in the wheel wells. 2" of lift with the next size tires seems like the perfect compromise between height and fuel efficiency.

Also, how long did the install take?

Yeah I need tires to look balanced with the lift, I was thinking going skinny like 235/85/17

    image.jpg

But still debating, I want taller tires and skinny for MPG purposes

It took about 2 hours total from start to finish.

(Edit) yeah I don't know , it may look like shit with 235 hah

No offense but I agree. I think you are going to want a wider tire, at least 265 from what I have seen. I am going with 285/70/17

Yeah now that im researching more I see the benefits, however i really don't want to sacrifice MPG on count of a HEAVY Ass tire.

Got all my parts in this week. Will attempt the install tomorrow pending rain. While waiting on parts I installed my CB.

235 is going to look like bicycle tire. If you going with stock 7-7.5" rim, 265 is fine. Wider 9" rim looks weird with 265

Did you get any squeaking after the install? Just finished it up tonight and driving around there's a squeak in the front. Both sides. Not sure if the shocks of coils need to break in or if I over tightened them. Any ideas?

You put the rubber grommet back on right? And the coils narrow part facing down?

My passenger coil didn't sit right when we pressed it in. Got it fixed. So no more squeak. Sits just about level. Rides a little firmer than stock.

Installed 885s on 5100s set at 0. Rear is stock. 2WD SR5. Bought them assembled from wheelers off-road. Bolted right up, no problems.

Rides almost the same, a little stiffer. I may add a 1/2'' toytec spacer and 5100's in the rear later.
