    Yes, it's the lower crossmember. It will need to be welded on.

    I looked at 2014 regular cab...I don't have that piece that has only 1 U shaped... is this right behind the bumper cover? Or closer to the transmission? I already bought splash guard for the engine and transmission area, but haven't installed it yet...

    Wasn't sure I need that crossmember piece to install the splash guard.

    On my truck I have 2 U shaped loops...I was assuming that's for towing.

    You should be fine unless you had an accident. The 2nd hook is bolted on. I sold mine already.
